Ok, so the Swiss won’t let them build tall,pointy towers on top of the mosques that are already in place.
Can someone tell me why this should seem like something more than a hollow victory?

IIRC, a few years after 9-11, The Los Angeles Times (honest, I couldn’t
make this up as Dave Berry would often say)...
Germans were getting ticked at the local Turkish laborers that were
thinking about building mosques and minarets.
I was SHOCKED that the article actually did treat the German attitude
fairly...as in “heck, Germany IS the Germans’ country.
Now it looks like the Swiss have adopted the same sane attitude.
Move back to your Islamic sand-box if you want to build mosques and
minarets.
