Asking government to get out of the way is not asking for the government to get involved, it is asking the government to curtail it’s involvement.

If EV cars are the future, I am not one to poo-poo the notion or stand in the way of this evolution of technology, if it is indeed superior and wins the day on it’s own merits.

As a personal aside, I think the romantic period with the automobile has died. A Prius or Chevy Volt isn’t as pretty as a classic Mustang, GTO or Camaro and never will be.

EV's offer the potential for a brand new romantic period as designers will no longer have to deal with constraints of engine, transmission, drive train and fuel tank location.
