Dobbs Says He Now Backs Amnesty

In a little-noticed interview last week, Lou Dobbs announced that he now supports amnesty for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States
Since he left his job as a CNN commentator two weeks ago, Dobbs’ has been bandied about as a Senate candidate in New Jersey. And now he is indicating that he might run for president.
But Dobbs became famous for his strong views on illegal immigration and foreign trade. Now that he’s a would-be politician, those views appear to be softening. Dobbs told Spanish-language network Telemundo he now supports a plan to legalize millions of undocumented workers, a stance he long lambasted as an unfair "amnesty."

What is wrong with people. Oh well I never looked at him seriously for President. I think originially some FREEPERS did but quickly changed their minds way before this article.

good God, took him what, a week to change his views. He was one of the most outspoken against amnesty for illegals now in a span of a week he turns around and supports it. What a turd
I know and that is what makes me so nervous. We are going to have Presidents from now on that are popular and the “in thing” instead of serious people who understand the constitution and how to run the government. We will never have another ugly President. I always wondered why people cared what our President looked like. Hell if they are ugly maybe they will stay off the tv...

We should also consider whether he didn’t feel that strongly about illegal immigration in the first place, and simply acted as though he did for the ratings.
He said he might back a "path to legalization" if the "right conditions were met".
The conditions could be like....first you go home, file a request to immigrate legally, and then if you come back, we won't charge you with a violation of 8 USC 1325.
That's an amnesty too....but Maria Celeste wasn't bright enough to go further.
