Frist did an enormous amount of damage to conservatism during his disastrous tenure, which was even worse than that of Trent Lott on a day-for-day basis. His worst offense was refusing to pull the nuclear trigger for Supreme Court nominees, instead making impotent, limp threats that weakened their case. Frist is the textbook example of a RINO. Good riddance.
