Re: the bailout and amnesty during last year’s campaign, I think we saw a natural chief executive doing her best to be a team player and trying to make that team a respectable, more conservative winner. But whenever she had to sort of a little support something she really wasn’t fully behind, she had the integrity to add a qualifier such that you could see she saw the greater principle that she also wanted to acknowledge.

She might get squishy on federal-level spending for the handicapped or education (and absolutely every even tiny-government pol has his or her hobby horse!), but I don’t think government bailouts or illegal immigration or global warming are likely areas where she strays from true conservative orthodoxy at all.

What part of "running mate" do you not understand?
As the vice-presidential candidate she had to support McCain's decisions.
She doesn't support the bailouts now and admitted the 1st one was a huge mistake.
