What you are saying, advocating, here on this post can really pay off.

Many times I find myself almost automatically taking on the left in venues I never anticipated.

Sometimes the things that come out of my mouth and come almost without thinking scare me,good rational points that I could not have made even five years ago.

its all due to an education here on FR.

We are all capable of that and should all engage if we are not already.

The Conservative Party in NY are Republicans.
Doug Hoffman is a life long Republican and
if he would have won would have caucused with
the Republicans in Congress

IF you don’t like the Republicans then join the Democrats.
This is a two party Country and always will be.

If you like 3 and 4 parties, Europe is the country for you, they do so well with that system

Your childlike mentality isn’t doing you well.

You know what they say...you can’t fix stupid.

That is the whole point about the GOP in regard to Hoffman. If the GOP were worth saving he would have been on the ticket - PERIOD.

He wasn’t...now get your head out of your arse.

“Even in the most liberal areas of the country sooner or later the left will self destruct then it will be our turn.”

That point is key and exactly why we don’t have to compromise on a conservative party or candidate. The liberal areas will eventually have to implode and quite frankly those people that supported those candidate and foolhardy policies are the very ones that should be stuck with the financial burden (very high taxes) on getting them back on track after conservatives take over.

This country just went hard-left and because of the luanacy of those involved...America is rejecting it.

During the next couple of elections the country is going to take a very hard right...entrusting the execution of strong conservative values and principles I am not so sure we want the GOP to handle - THEY HAVE NEVER GOTTEN IT RIGHT YET. Granted Reagan was the greatest...but they didn’t go far enough.

We could see ourselves in the same exact situation in a couple or few years with GOP screwing up just like the DEMs have screwed up this opportunity.

She has shown herself to be willing to take on political and corporate corruption regardless of party.

Hoffman is better off running for the full term in which the campaign starts in just a few months and in this way, Scuzzy has been already exposed.

At least I have a head. Sorry you don’t

You are truly nuts. Nice derogatory language you use - are you suffering from turrets?

And speaking of gays it is your state that is progressing their agenda more than any other location - guess your hard work and brillant ideas just aren’t cutting it “over there”.

You just can’t stand to face the truth, you are stuck in the mud with the GOP. Reagan was amazing but unfortunately he did his part but the GOP learned absolutely NOTHING from it.

Keep supporting your sacred cow and if enough people are successful supporting the GOP our country will go the way of the dodo bird.

I fully "get" your apprehension about the GOP and its most lacking support of conservative candidates. Not acceptable anywhere on FR!

Once again though it's not the Rinos party! Never has been, never will be. They have tried to steal it but we need to realize it's ours and is worth fighting for!!

It does not belong to a dozen or so well heeled DC/NYC types who would run roughshod over the rest of us.

Hopefully, those days are over.

Do we sit back and all of a sudden trust them to do the right thing? Hardly!

The GOP has earned the right to be bitch slapped over and over and over.

By that I mean we no longer donate to the party but to specific candidates and only then those that carry the conservative philosophy of government: smaller govt., less taxation, less govt. intrusion into our lives, fairer taxation, etc.etc., balanced budgets,it's not necessary to describe here.

Once the GOP has illustrated after a few more election cycles that they can be trusted then we should slowly give them a little money and see what they do with it, but only then.

Without automatic money from us we have a voice and can demand to be heard! We will force the RNC to save the country with us.

I still think the two-party system is the problem. It divides the country and no longer allows us to vote for the best candidate. We vote on 1-2 issues and that is on purpose so they can make a few issues decisive and then under the cover of darkness they slide through their sleazy policies which ultimately screw the rest of us.

Let’s fix the problem...not a particular brand.

I could not have said it better! I totally agree with everything you said!

We all are looking for the “perfect candidate” and that is fine as long a conservatives do NOT say home because the nominee is not “perfect enough”. We must do our research and bring out all the information needed to make a good choice in whom we as individuals will support. Once primaries are done and the candidates are chosen, we must vote for the conservative...even if he/she isn't quite conservative enough. I hope folks realize that staying home only helps Socialists win!

Sorry friend, I just don't agree. The upcoming primaries prior to the 2010 election will give us a very good chance to push and support the most conservative candidate to take on incumbents and the Socialists. I point back to what happened in New York, New Jersey and Virginia. Americans are fed up and finally we conservatives are organizing and making a difference.

Our main goal needs to be getting Republicans in control of Congress and then as the RINO seats come up, we vote them out. I believe we can and will take back the Republican Party and put Congress back in control of Republicans. I also believe we will have help from the Independents and Reagan Democrats in November 2010.

Trust me, the GOP/RNC/ elite are hurting. I receive at least three calls and/or letters a week begging for donations after asking them repeatedly to remove me from their calling and mailing lists. They get the same message back. I support conservative candidates of my choosing since they ignore the conserative base and back RINO's.

No kidding, just so long as the field isn't filled with fake rinos, the Independents and traditional non-Leftist Dems will vote in droves for conservatives.

I think we will probably disagree on the two party idea, but to me NY 23 kind of blows away, voting for the best candidate. I thought that's what we did.

We may have lost in a close one but we sent the RNC a message and we will keep on doing that until they get it.
