The left knows that Mrs. Palin is, for want of a better term at this point, a conservative populist. It scares the Hell out of them because although they don’t agree with her “no apology” Americanism, they see the appeal.

Mrs. Palin is a heroine already.

The first primary is over three years away don't you think that it is way too early to pick up nominees and candidates for 2012?

It is much better to focus on defeating Obama socialism for the near future before picking a nominee and cause massive meaningless infighting.

Not discounting your post but the problem, MittWitt supporters at Politico besides the LibDems write
smears against Palin. Huckabee has made snarky commenst
against Palin.
Then there is the Liberal MSM from day one bashing Palin
while giving the WannaBees a free ride.

We are not only giving her support but letting the MSM and the WannaBees know, they have a force to deal with.

We had this debate before. You think the liberals bash Sarah Palin because they are afraid of her I think they bash her because their attacks on her have been very effective, they badly damaged her outside the hardcore conservative base, and they want to tie the whole Republican party/Conservative movement to her because they think with Sarah Palin the Republicans have no chance of winning the White House if she ends up the 2012 Republican nominee.

You are not going to convince and I am not going to convince you regarding Sarah Palin. Time will prove who is right. In the meanwhile I am expecting to be banned at any moment from FR because I do not support Palin. So be it.

Good to hear from you, too. Man alive, how many times did we have to make that trek to Crawford?

You are right! Third Parties are the Socialists best friend!

We can and will take back the Republican Party and rid the party of ALL RINO’s when ever and where ever we can!

The first goal is to get Republicans in control of the House and Senate. Then as the RINO seats come up, out they go, and we replace them with real conservatives. We must work together to support conservative candidates in all Republican primaries to get the most conservative candidate to face the Demorat candidate. If we end up with a Republican candidate for Congress who is less conservative than we would like, we might have to hold our nose and vote for him/her in order to rid Congress of the Demorat. To get Republicans in control of Congress requires NO staying home just because the Republican candidate isn't perfect enough! That only lets the Demorats win seats.

Conservatives are NOW organizing and it is about time we did! Lets put as many conservatives in Congress and Governorships as we can in 2010!

I hope Freepers in every state will work together like we Florida Freepers are to support and spread the word about conservatives in Congressional and Governor races. We are going to put Marco Rubio in as our Florida Governor and we will send Col. Allen West to Congress from Florida District 22! We are also in the process of vetting several other conservative candidates running for Congress from our state. Freepers in every state should do the same and join with other grassroots groups within their states to get the job done in 2010!

I will say it again! I wish ALL Freepers would register on their Free Republic State Forum and get to know other Freepers in their state! That is a great way to get active within your state, make a difference in 2010 and have so much fun getting together with lots of wonderful conservative friends! :)

So the MSM does the bashing and millions who suport Palin
say, well the uneducated who believe the lies means we have to stop support Palin. I don’t think so.

The Left and the Paulites to this day rant that Bush family were Nazis and also had a hand in 9/11. So in 2004 Bush supporters were supposed to cave to the left and Paulite’s
loony rants. The idiots who believe this stuff along with the lies against Palin will not make me or millions of others change our support for Palin.

Ron’s people take credit even thought they didn’t start the ones in 2009. It is much like saying the guy on CNBC was responsible when he was not. In 2007 the Ron Paul did some tea parties, but that is about it. If they joined the efforts now fine. But this is not Ron Paul’s doing. It is not Rick Santelli’s effort either.

It is the people who wanted to do it.

That Glenn Beck mixed it with his 9/12 thing is fine. Beck was responsible for some extent for promoting the Tax Day events and later the one on Washington D.C. on 9-12.

But even he was not responsible for coming up wth the idea.

Well I don’t like anyone who seems right now to be considered to run other than Sarah Palin. I don’t want Dick Cheney, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Fred Thompson and whomever else you want to add. They have have big problems with me. Palin is the only one. The fact libs attack her only makes it more attractive because it means she is annoying them. So I respectfully disagree.

I beg to differ on who started the Tea Parties. People here in Kansas were already protesting before Santelli said anything. We were upset at a congressman and started to hound him for his Stimulus vote in February. Held protests outside the office. Michelle Malkin posted it on her blog. Then others popped up in Arizona and Colorado. That later they were called Tea Parties is fine. But now every protest is a Tea Party. They were going to happen no matter who said what.

I could go for that ticket or Palin/Hunter or Palin/Bolton(John) or Palin/DeMint. Open to other combinations as well.

Soli Deo Gloria!

In the meanwhile I am expecting to be banned at any moment from FR because I do not support Palin. So be it.

I hope not. I hate the herd mentality and the group think that suggests you must think and speak like the rest of the group, or else you risk getting purged from the site.  I was never a fan of that kind of thinking, and I hope you or anyone who doesn't agree with a potential candidate stays on this site, provided you are a conservative.  Of course, I don't make decisions as to who stays or who goes on this site.

I think the purpose of a political forum is the free exchange of ideas and opinion which ultimately helps advance the conservative cause, and to develop ideas via articles, commentaries, etc.

You, for instance, disagree with Palin and that's fine, as long as you aren't rude it helps those who support her think clearly, gives us the chance to research and bring out all the information out in the open. It is a good mental exercise.

But first let's just say that the primaries aren't in three years, but rather begin in less than 2 years – November 3, 2011.  Second, liberals bash Sarah because she is a strong conservative. They don't bash moderates and weak Republicans, they bash those who hold strong conservative values and principles.

Don't you see how much they ridicule the tea party and call the participants 'teabaggers,' and 'right wing extremists' and for many Americans the tea party movement is going through the same ridicule that the media used against Palin,  until her book tour started and Sarah had the chance to do interviews and defend herself from the onslaught of media trash.  Yet, not even her successful interviews has stopped the Palin haters from their vicious bashing.

The media will do their best to destroy any conservative.  Today it is Palin, tomorrow it will be someone else.  If you expect potential conservative candidates to get approval or nice comments from the state controlled media, you are wasting your time because it will never happen.

Like I said, I don't decide who stays or goes here and I would never be so presumptuous to single out who should be purged because they support a different candidate than I do.  What we should all do, despite our different preferred presidential candidates, is to unite and work to elect conservative candidates to the House and the Senate in 2010, less than one year from now.

I'm sure the liberals and the media are welcoming the idea of a third party, which as a practical matter helps Democrats to keep their power, as history has demonstrated over and over again.  Emotions and good intentions aren't enough to win elections because a lot of money is needed and a political infrastructure must be in place to win nationwide elections. However, reforming the GOP takes hard work and I see how some might just be too tired to do it, yet that is what must take place for conservatives to win elections and drive policy.

Sarah knows about reforming the GOP.  She did it in Alaska and she won the governorship because of dedication and hard work directed at defeating corrupt, establishment Republicans.  That's why I am confident she won't leave the GOP but she will reform it from within.
