I'm not too sure about that. Many are more aware of what socialism is all about, but they think it is a good thing!

Yes, but parents have played a role as well. My parents made sure I knew what communism was at home. Everything wasn't left to the schools. I spoke at length to a father of kids from 7-17 last night. Believe me when I say his kids know what it is as well and it has caused more than a few problems at school.
We need to get back to basics -- personal responsibility, and the idea that parents, not schools or government, are responsible for raising their children would be a good start.

I had that advantage of parental tutoring as well. It is crucial to have this these days.
