I don’t think he would be Rush’s ideal candidate either and he pretty much says that in the article. However, since FR has now switched to out and out slander as a fundraising tool, against a friend of mine, I had to point out that there are solid, high profile Conservatives out there who believe Romney to be one of them.

Where is the slander?
Show it.
With actual proof, not feelings and supposition.
Go on, we have been doing this for months now.

Slander? Romney speaks for himself. I didn’t put the words in his mouth. I didn’t sign the socialist RomneyCare bill.
Face it, Romney is a socialist butcher!!

I have a lot of friends, and even some family members, whom I like and will continue to like, yet would never vote for them for public office, much less president.
If Romney is your friend, fine. I’m sure he has a lot of good qualities. But he is NOT a conservative.
Healthcare, abortion, gay marriage. Even his one great and constantly advertised success—saving the Salt Lake City Olympics—was little more than a federal bailout.

I had to point out that there are solid, high profile Conservatives out there who believe Romney to be one of them (meaning a "3-leg" conservative).Rush did NOT say Romney was a 3-leg conservative. He only said he more closely resembled one than McCain or Huckabee, in 2008. No sale, McRomneybee.

to out and out slander.........there are solid, high profile Conservatives out there who believe Romney to be one of them.
Calling out someone who is a RINO and is slander to you?
Considering you think Mitt is a conservative, we can assume that statement...solid, high profile Conservatives is null and void, also.
But feel free to list your solid conservatives.

However, since FR has now switched to out and out slander as a fundraising tool FR wasn't around in 1994 when Romney tried to out-liberal Ted Kennedy, denounce Reagan conservatism, and still lost.
If Romney's the nominee I'm staying home. I don't care if Palin endorses him or is the VP again.
To: Reaganesque
Actually, I think you have that backwards.
During the 2nd quarter fundraiser, they ran the “Romney is evil” ads every day, and it took forever to raise the funds.
SO this quarter, they didn’t put up any of the anti-Romney ads during the fundraiser, and it seemed they got their money in half the time.
Now that they have the money, they are running the anti-Romney ads.

Rush was only talking in terms of the moment, comparing him to McCain and Huckabee. As for people trashing Romney, he deserves it, he is a RINO, he is all the things most people say he is,including Jim Rob, and simply because you "know" the guy doesn't make him any better. Romenycare is all I need to know about him but I know much more than that, I know he is for killing babies and to me both of those items are enough to stop me from voting for him, ever, let alone his other liberal policies.

Bla , Bla, Bla, psychobabble, whatever.
Once again, I need to remind you of the slander campaign that Romney had on Fred Thompson, and all the lies and disgusting things Mitbots said of Sarah Palin here on FR .
