"Hate to say it, but the SEALs deserve punishment if they acted unprofessionally in their duties. I just hope the guy resisted in order to justify the punch. "

ohhhh me toooooooo.

And I hope he gets a nice corner cell, with a view, and flowers.

I'm sure obama will come in personally to bow and apologize because one of his fellow muslims didn't get his Miranda rights read to him.

Maybe they'll acquit him and assign him to be a personal assistant to Major hasan after they both get off on technicalities.

I mean, it doesn't mean a thing that these people are out to wipe out everyone but muslims, so we should take those naughty little Seals and give them at least 30 years hard labor at Leavenworth.

As far as "acting unprofessional"...they acted entirely within their profession, capturing and killing terrorists. People get worse injuries in a high school football game than this guy got.

This is not military discipline, it's POLITICAL CORRECTNESS gone amuck.

Killing them is fine. Capturing them is fine. Having to beat them up in order to capture them is fine. But their physical safety is your responsibility once they are firmly in your custody. Physically harming prisoners who are not resisting or attempting to escape is not acceptable conduct for US military personnel. This isn't political correctness, it's the rules of war that we have been following for a long time.

My view isn't out of any concern for the prisoner. I don't care if he dies. It is because I care about our military. We are a professional military with high standards, not a bunch of street thugs who would punch a restrained captive.
