this situation was so extreme that there are no lessons to be learned here
There are a few lessons to learn. Grassroots are important. Who the county chairs are is important. It's OK to vote third party when the Republican is so far left that she'll endorse the Demonrat. Don't send money to Michael Steele. Don't trust Newt Gingrich ever again (for those who hadn't learned this already).
And from this thread: Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican - Ronald W. Reagan, 1966.
Guiliani and Romney both exhale CO2, which helps plants grow.
Actually, I believe it was shown somewhat downthread of that post, that those weren't Reagan's words. They came from an advisor.
My point is that we actually have Freepers who have said they will vote for Obama rather than vote for someone like McCain.
I cannot tell you how dangerous I believe this mindset to be. And these types of threads are fueling this sentiment.
Obama is an extremely dangerous person. We don't have a clue where his loyalty really lies. We know he wants to be the czar of everything in the US. He's not content with running the financial industry and the auto industry, now he's gunning to take over the health care industry which is 1/6 the American economy.
He coddles terrorists while terrorizing our brave military. The latest is trying Navy Seals who were doing their job going after Muslim murderers of four Americans.
Maybe you can reassure me that Obama cares about America and Americans, but I doubt it.
Maybe you can do something to reassure me that these Democrats in congress are not doing all they can to cooperate with Obama in their zeal to destroy our way of life.
Many Freepers believe McCain is more dangerous than Obama; Snowe is more dangerous than Kerry or Harkin; Newt is more dangerous than Pelosi, etc.
I don't buy any of it and I believe threads such as this one are protecting the real traitors to our country--Obama and the Dimocrats in congress.
