Well, I respect your belief. But frankly, considering the exceedingly short supply of ‘real’ conservatives we have these days, I prefer to make shock sure that Newt is as he is being accused before I lay into him, as well.
I’m not seeing any links, sources or proof to that effect. Just more accusations based on...beliefs (?). Surely, Shirley....if Newt is as bad a RINO as everyone is saying.... there would be a plethora of links and sources backing up these claims, eh?
I can’t seem to find one on my own and so far, none of his accusers has seen fit to provide said proof/link/source. Wonder why.
I told you why. We don't have the time or inclination to do your work for you. Your answer is out there. Do your own honest work and get it. We have other things going on right now and this thread is not all about Newt.
My post and statements were common sense. True leaders vet who they back. If not, they aren’t worth anything.
It's not up to us to do your research.
Trust me, the links are here on FR. Just search for Newt and you’ll find them. There should be a slew of them in wake of his Scozzafava endorsement and subsequent apology. Even Newt knows where the power in the conservative movement lies- and it ain’t with RINOs. So sad to see Newt fall so far from conservative principles. Hopefully he will redeem himself.
Speaking alongside Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Gingrich said, We do agree, our country must take action to address climate change, adding, if enough of us demand action from our leaders, we can spark the innovation we need. You can find that on youtube.
Newt Gingrich has guzzled Al Gores Kool-Aid. Now he wants us and the Republican 2008 presidential candidates to drink it, too.
The former House Speakers latest book, "A Contract with the Earth" co-authored with Palm Beach Zoo CEO Terry Maple, is an appalling paean to environmental naivete and taxpayer-subsidized profiteering.
and: Not surprisingly, the book exalts Sierra Club founder John Muir. Interestingly, Mr. Gingrich blithely mentions Muirs martial law-like view favoring use of the military to enforce environmental law.
So: Ad, book, endorsement of Scazz, how much proof you want?
