The irritating thing about this, is that this isn’t really new news (although the smoking guns were). We knew that there has been, at the very least, a decade hiatus in the reputed warming, a hiatus which can’t be attributed to atmospheric carbon dioxide. But it takes some really damned hubris on the part of the experts who were supposed to be objective but were not, before the nation will seriously question what issues from their temples.
Ahhh but you see if you really start to consider what they did with the early temps you find there was no significant temp raise in the first place.
See they gamed the early data. (They lowered temps farther back in the time line to show a sharp increase in the latter years.) That showed a large increase in the 90s. NOW they can't go back and change those temps even lower so therefore when you add the temps from 2000 on its show a plateau. BUT if you put the true temps in for the early years it shows no plateau because the temps didn't raise much in the first place.
