Actually, the website coverage trails ‘live’ by about 30 seconds or so, not 1 min or more.

Weather for landing is PERFECT- not a cloud in our sky!
It’s coming from the south today so I may not hear the sonic booms..

If you’re not into what it takes to prepare for a long term mission to Mars where water once flowed in abundance, hence sedimantary rock, hence to possible incorporation therein of fossil material then I guess living in a third world Barryworld is what you’re otherwise about.
I say press on. “Our fate cries out!”

Interesting remark I just heard on the live feed: At about 20 minutes to go before touchdown, the Shuttle was STILL traveling at ~16,000 per hour, approximately 44 miles above the Earth! When it was attached to the Space Station, apprx 240 miles above the surface, it was moving at ~18,000 per hour (~5 miles per second). The brakes will begin to slam on when it hits the atmosphere. Must be a terrifying moment on-board at that point.

to Mars where water once flowed in abundance, hence sedimentary rock Sedimentary layers can also be laid down by wind-blown sediments and other non-water-related processes.
