KENNEWICK -- Thousands of people from across the Tri-Cites and the country were in Kennewick for the annual Turkey Trot to benefit the Benton-Franklin Red Cross.
The appearance of Sarah Palin overshadowed the whole event, as hundreds of people tried to get an up close view of the former Alaskan Governor.

Btw, I live in Richland but, sad to say, have not seen Sarah. I might go to her book signing Sunday.
It is probably a good thing Sarah didn’t finish the race for security reasons. I kind of questioned the wisdom of participating in the run from a security standpoint.

Let the talented graphic designers of FR come up with a design. How about a design contest? I don’t suppose we could borrow a picture of the Road Runner and put lipstick on him, could we?
'Overshadowed'? As if Gov. Palin is a spectre or an approaching darkness? I think a more-fair statement would be to say that Sarah Palin stole the show.
But then again, I am one of her supporters.
