Actually, there is such a thing as “settled science”, and, oddly, the global warming scare qualifies.
In science, observation is king. The observed temperature of the earth has been dropping since the ‘98 peak. In science, this is checkmate.
The facts are in.
The science is settled.
There is no such thing as global warming.
Anyone who says that there is, is no scientist.
End of discussion.
No scientist is going to say that the earth has been warming up, while it has been observed to cool down.
The global warming alarmists have got computer models which have projected that the earth was warming up, the whole time it’s been cooling down. In scientific circles, models which reliably project the opposite of what is observed, are known, in the technical jargon, as “wrong”.
