I hope they Mirandized this Ahmed Hashim Abed guy before they punched him.Rush Limbaugh
On March 31, 2004, a small convoy guarded by four American civilian contractors was ambushed at Fallujah, Iraq, and the guards were killed. The bodies of the four Blackwater security guards were burnt, hacked, and two of the mutilated bodies were hung for display on a bridge over the Euphrates river.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that in a macabre and murderous town fete, locals cheered as one corpse was attached to a car tow rope and pulled triumphantly up and down the main road
.
The article noted that In terms of its sheer bestial violence, the attack on the Blackwater operatives was unprecedented
.
The ambush, and desecration of the bodies were all videotaped by Islamic extremists, and subsequently disseminated world-wide as anti-American propaganda...

"The seals weren't fighting the enemy, they were guarding a prisoner."That is a stretch for anybody. Think about what you are saying.

Who do we write to - I was thinking the Pentagon but I’m not up on military protocol - not that I care about it at this point. I’m praying for these beautiful and brave yound men but that’s not enough.

“The seals say they didn't do it.” Thanks for the info, Maine-iac7, I hadn't seen that information in any of the articles I've read. Can you refer me to a link with this information?

"How is punishing someone for punching a prisoner getting our guys killed?"Let me spell it out for you. A slap in the face is nothing to someone who would strap a bomb on and blow himself up. It is people like you who get innocent people killed. Live with that.

That's interesting, BigBobber, but I hope the caller was wrong. I don't have any concrete evidence that President Obama has been involved in this case. I'd like to believe that if the president can recognize that Kanye West is a “Jackass,” then he can recognize that Mr. Assad is a demented terrorist.

“No discipline broke down.” I’m confused. Isn’t there a uniform code of military justice which says that assaulting a prisoner is a felony? If someone punched a prisoner, isn’t he violating military policy? Isn’t that a breach of discipline? Do you think that a breakdown in military discipline can get people killed in the special forces?

“If you don't already see that anything I say is a waste of my time.” Let's start from the beginning, Blackbart.223. If military discipline breaks down, American soldiers can get killed. Is that a proposition with which you would agree?

What causes soldiers to be killed is weak kneed assholes like Obama. If you want to kiss his ass be my guest. I won't follow in line to do that.

“Take your crap somewhere else.’
The ad hominem is unnecessary, blackbart.223. The "crap" on this thread is the insinuation that General Cleveland is acting inappropriately and getting American soldiers killed. He's not.

Mr. Assad should have had his brains blown out when the SEALs found him,,,Or a K-Bar across his throat,,, The Seals were under orders to capture Mr. Abed. The insinuation here is that the officers who ordered and coordinated the capture Of Mr. Abed don't know what they were doing, and that the SEALS were mistaken to follow orders by capturing him. Do I understand your position clearly?
"There is only one way to deal with moozzi,,,The only thing they understand is to KILL them !"
By "moozzi" do you mean Muslim? Does your solution apply to the translators who assist our troops as well? What about the militias in Iraq that helped us defeat Al Quaeda? The pro-democracy protesters in Iran?

"My choice would to be to Arc-Light Fallujah,,,"Arc Light strikes would be better off used in other places at this point. Fallujah is pacified at this moment in time. That may change in the future however.
