Its one of the most secure places on earth, but two Washington area socialites and reality TV wannabes were apparently able to get behind the gates at the White House and mingle with the crowd at the State Dinner in honor of India last night.
The Washington Post has the dish on Tareq and Michaele Salahi, below:
The First Ladys office told ABC they would have no comment on the crashers and referred all inquiries to the Secret Service.
Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirms that the agency is looking into a report that two individuals not on the guest list were in the event.
They sure were. The Post has pictures from Michaele Salahis Facebook page that clearly show the two in pictures with attendees at the state dinner and there is video of the two on the red carpet inside the White House grounds.

Their names were not on the party list, but their names HAD to be on the access list to get in the compound. The names of all the press, staff, groundskeepers, visitors, appointments and anyone else who works inside the white house (thousands of folks) have to be on the list to get inside.
Subtrafuge and deception come to mind
Is she a he??
Could be time for the "Crocodile Dundee check"!!

I know! I’m so glad I got to be there, but still!! Risks are taken. Even now, apparently.
If they like and vote Obama, they are not Catholic.
HOMELAND SECURITY needs to reward this couple for SHOWING them where there breaches and flaws are...they need to get some stimulus money.
In the picture with Biden it looks like he only has 1 pin not two like some of the other pictures. My guess is the crossed pins was a souvenir of the dinner. None of the pictures I looked at gave a good view of the round pin that shows up in all the pictures.
my guess is it’s a pin given to major donors so that the pols and their staff can recognize and grovel properly. He’s got the $$ to be one haven’t looked him up at Open Secrets having trouble getting in for some reason.
Very good observation. It would behoove American Patriots to dig a little deeper into who Tareq Salahi really is. His father, a Palestinian who came here as a younger man, and who with his Arab Family owns (and Salahi now runs) the Oasis Vineyards near Hume, Virginia.
It would also behoove American Patriots to also check out the number of causes that Tareq Salahi (and his wife) belong to supporting the Palestinian State for years, even on an official basis via the American Task Force for Palestine or ATFP.
There has been some “rumor” that the many “get togethers” of many Arabs (and many who are prominent, and some notorious) at the Oasis Winery over the years is more than “Get togethers for fun. It has been suggested that it is an ideal location for supporters of terrorism, many of whom are naturalized Arab American Citizens (as in “The Enemy Within”) who meet there for strategy sessions.
Facts or rumor? You decide.
That was definitely something to remember. It also shows how things then were a spot more trusting.
Twenty percent of Israeli citizens are Muslim.
Heads should roll for this.
Heads should roll but I doubt they will. Obama and his Administration are already living in a pre 9/11 world. This just confirms it.

Never thought about that----probably true.
So basically all it takes to get into a state dinner is a nice tux, a nice blonde on your arm, the right attitude, and some major cajones.
Some heads should roll at the secret service.
P.S. I’ve done the private tour before (not this admin) - it’s not too hard to get on the list you just provide your DOB and SSN and show up at the appointed hour with someone who works there (can be anyone from the porter to Rahm). Of course, this couple didn’t show up with anyone, and one would expect the SS to check the invite list...
In your post 48, great SNL skit concept.
