I was watching Brett Bair, Charles Krauthammer et al at 17 00 central time. During their round table discussion, the panel were expressing what they are thankful for on Thanksgiving. Krauthammer’s statement nearly caused me to spit my beverage all over my table as Krauthammer said he humbled to be an American citizen even though he wasn't born here. Shortly after, Krauthammer blurbs out that Ovomit should be even more thankful because he was reared in Indonesia. I have to say, I was taken back when I heard Charles say that.

Why did this surprise you? Has Krauthammer previously dismissed "birther" talk as nonsense? Perhaps he is waking up to the facts?

Are you sure Krauthammer wasn't suggesting that Obama should be even "more thankful" to be in the US than he -- because Obama was "reared in Indonesia" and thus had experience with what it was like to live in the Third World?
