Sen. James M. Inhofe (R-OK), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today sent letters to several scientists, some of whom allegedly manipulated data to prove the scientific "consensus" of global warming, as well as to the inspectors general of several federal agencies, notifying them to retain documents related to the release of emails from the Hadley Center's Climate Research Unit. He also stated in a press release:
The stakes in this controversy are significant, as it appears that the basis of federal programs, pending EPA rulemakings, and cap-and-trade legislation was contrived and fabricated. Moreover, it appears that, in an attempt to conceal the manipulation of climate data, information disclosure laws may have been violated. I certainly don't condone the manner in which these emails were released; however, now that they are in the public domain, lawmakers have an obligation to determine the extent to which the so-called consensus' of global warming, formed with billions of taxpayer dollars, was contrived in the biased minds of the world's leading climate scientists. The letters are the first step in the investigation of the Hadley Center climate scandal. Last week, emails released by a computer hacker revealed that several leading climate scientists allegedly manipulated climate data and research used by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). These scientists also appear to have refused outside access to their raw data, obstructed freedom of information requests, and plotted ways to prevent the publication of papers in peer-reviewed journals by scientists who question global warming alarmism.

He’d need the cooperation of his Democrat committee chmn to achieve maximum impact, unfortunately.
Al Gore in prison would be a gift from heaven.
Fraud, RICO, perp walks, convictions and LONG jail sentences! Wouldn’t that be great?
And this is coming JUST when California is headed head over heels toward the GW cliff with cap ‘n tax.
YO, ALBORE ... so much for your “SETTLED SCIENCE”
and AL??? as RUSH SAYS... IF there’s CONSENSUS, it’s NOT SCIENCE!!!
I would just like to see him as a subject of public ridicule.
What really makes me upset about the “global warming” thing is that if you are not in agreement with this, then you are a wasteful, disgusting polluter. “Conservatives” are generally conservative in many aspects of their lives. I don't believe in man-made global warming (at least not to the degree the nuts do)...but I _am_ against profligate waste and pollution.
Hmmm...couldn’t open the letters. Never heard of .cfm before. Camino doesn’t open files with that extension. But Safari I found does.
Wow I didn’t have any problem at all opening them just clicked and bingo. Could it be your protection not allowing it or something like that?
I’m just using chrome right now but had no problem when I went to check using explorer.
Sure the problem is Camino and, now that I check, Firefox too. Have a new Mac and neither browser opens .cfm files nor can I find an application which does. Safari works with .cfm however so now I know.
The browser I never use works. Figures huh?
I think you could easily download chrome and use it in lieu or as an alternate. I was just scared to death to try it at first but my son assured me it was safe and easy to use and faster then explorer. I know a lot of people say many things about it but now that I have it I really like it have far less problems then explorer and it is faster.
I always have lots of windows open I just counted them I have 36 open and I can easily click back and forth. I can even just both explorer and chrome at the same time but explorer gets on my nerves now so I usually just use the chrome. You know getting older I guess I was a bit resistant to trying it but I’m sure glad now I did.
Used Chrome and liked it a lot but I switched back to a Mac after 5 years on Windows and there is no Chrome yet for Apple. Because you mentioned it however, I double checked and saw I could sign up to be notified when an OS X version is released (which I did).
ping!
PALIN needs to start lobbing bombs on obambi about climate crap!!
But is anyone pressing charges? Any purchaser of Carbon offsets filing to be reimbursed?
A stained blue dress caused slick Willie to be impeached, with a slap on the hand.
This is much bigger that someones sexual preferences...
Put them all in prison...
Now comes the biggest stonewall of all. This should be fun to watch as the NY Times, the pseudo-scientists, and the Al Gore crowd whistle past the graveyard.
Thanks for the ping!
Every politician that gave taxpayer dollars to this ECO FECAL FREAK CHICKEN LITTLE CULT needs to be put in jail.
Unfortunately, this SCAM will not even be investigated. The Marxist left won’t let it happen. We’re beyond screwed.
