They were using "global warming" until about 2007. When it became obvious the temp was dropping and that there was not a consensus, they started saying "climate change." Easier to get funded since the temp is usually going one way or the other.

I can't remember who I heard say, that cooling was an indication of the long-term warming.

Obviously correct. Something has to be cooler before it can become warmer. Get with it, the science is settled. /s
