Excellent series of documentaries. Back then Hollywood was on our side of the fight. Frank Capra was just one of many Hollywood bigwigs who stepped forward and provided invaluable assistance for the war effort.

The first of the seven films, Prelude to War, received the 1942 Academy Award for Best Documentary. Can you imagine the Academy doing something similar today?

Not only that. You had major starts like Jimmy Stewart commanding bombing runs over Germany. Can you imagine George Clooney at the helm of a b-52 or b-1?
