WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Republican National Committee will announce Monday that veteran political strategist Alex Castellanos will assume a senior communications role at the committee, an RNC official tells CNN.

(snip)

"Now the RNC has a new focus and direction - the 2010 elections," Castellanos said when reached by telephone. "And I am happy to help."

And tonight, the word is getting around Kentucky that the GOP establishment pick for the US Senate, Trey Grayson, has been connected with Van Jones' climate change organization, and with the Soros-funded Aspen Institute.

Or, even better, send it directly to the candidates.

Is he? Might be interesting then. I do hope the blue-blood republicans are willing to shell out money, because it will take a lot to convince the base to up hard earned money.

Still, if he (Castellanos) puts his pants on and goes after the rats, then it might be worthwhile to support them, a bit.

"And the RNC will not be getting a dime from me. I only give directly to candidates."

I practice exactly the same policy. I wrote off the RNC/NRCC/NRSC years ago. As for the RNC (aka Big Tent RINO Central), they are completely worthless. They have learned absolutely nothing and often take actions which are harmful to conservative Republicans.

That’s been the plan all along...too bad that Sarah Palin and her vast army of grassroots supporters are throwing a huge monkey wrench into the GOP/RNC works.

Obviously, the RNC could give a crap about conservative values with this RINO-crapper appointment.

The Republicans have NOT learned how pissed we are, YET....

As expected after yesterday’s cloture vote, Cass Sunstein was confirmed as the administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. The vote was 57-40. Click here to read OMB Watch’s statement on the confirmation.

The vote fell mostly somewhat along party lines. Republican senators Robert Bennett (UT), Orrin Hatch (UT), Susan Collins (ME), Richard Lugar (IN), Olympia Snowe (ME), and George Voinovich joined 51 Democrats (including Sen. Joe Lieberman) in voting for Sunstein. Democratic senators Mark Begich (AK), Blanche Lincoln (AR), Ben Nelson (NE), Mark Pryor (AR), Jim Webb (VA), independent Bernie Sanders (VT), and 34 Republicans voted against.

Sen. Robert Byrd (D-WV) and Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) did not vote.

Sunstein’s nomination grew more and more controversial after the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee approved it on May 20. The Committee approved the nomination by voice vote, and only Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) objected. Committee members Pryor, John McCain (R-AZ), John Ensign (R-NV), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) all voted against Sunstein this time around.

Many of us are done, through, finished, with the Republicrat/Demopublican monopoly.

They represent themselves, not us. They are almost all Big Government Progressives, in bed with the bankster gangsters, the One World promoters and the K Street lobbyists who could not care less whether they were governed by Barack Obama, Gordon Brown, Hugo Chavez or Kim Jong Il as long as they get theirs, which, quite often used to be ours (before taxes).

In America, we still have a Constitution that enshrines the rights of the people to control and reform their government. Let's use it.

Get a grip.
He didn't viciously attack her. And a consultant is not a pschophant.
A media consultant is someone you use to tell you the honest good and the bad in your presentation, so you can best tailor it.
Castellanos is no more a sycophant of Romney than he is Palin. He was on Palin’s team in the last election.
What comes through in your post is that you are scared of what he said. Instead, you should listen and think of ways to best present your case. Anyone who can't stand to listen to an honest consultant is someone who is a sycophant and can't stand to face the problems and solve them.
