Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrives at the White House Tuesday wondering if his country remains the US priority under President Obama that it became under President Bush. GW Bush saw India as an anchor, an ally, a 3-way counterweight, and potentially an enormous aircraft carrier and staging base to be schmoozed and won over.
O sees them as cardboard cutouts and non-voters.

The line in India was that if Bush wanted to, he could win the national election there. He’s that popular...60% or so.
