What a giant crock of BS! I can’t believe the commanding officers of our fine troops have so little faith in their troops that they can’t be trusted to hear a speech by a former governor and VP candidate.

It must be a pretty touchy time on military bases these days if discipline and morale is so low they have to fear the appearance of a single person will disrupt their operation.

Sad, sad.

My guess is that the high level brass and CiC are both worried about dissension in the ranks. The dissension is bad for the military and their mission, regardless of party affiliation, and in that regard I understand the decision, even if I disagree with it. But the decision speaks volumes about the lack of support for 0bama within our military.

You are correct. I was a bit overreaching in my response to the story. I tend to be that way. I'm working on it, and making progress, slow but steady. If I can live to be 150-years-old I will get it conquered. I'm not quite halfway yet, but I feel pretty confident I'm well on my way.
