SUDDEN JIHAD SYNDROME (SJS): Sudden Jihad Sundrome is individual or small, un-attached groups of radicalized Islamics who decide to carry out Jihad, or Holy War, against those amongst whom they live. It usually involves a single person, but may include small groups, who are radicalized in their Mosques, their readings, their conversations, or otherwise, and who then decide on their own to wage war against those whom they live amongst.

It is a very real and very dangerous occurance that a nation ignores, or tries to explain away with other politically correct or sociological explanations at their grave peril and risk. What follows are instances of SJS within the US since 9/11/2001. This list will be added to as more are discovered to have happened, or as new instances occur.

This list represents the most publicized of the SJS events in America. There are undoubtedly many more. Many of these events have been attempted to be explained away by politicians and the media as acts of insanity or mentally disturbed individuals, where the tie and link to Islamic Jihad is either not reported or ignored...and this, in many cases when the perpetrator themself indicate that this is what their attack was about, waging Jihad against America and American citizens.

The following are several instance of quotes, letters, and emails from the perpetrators. Many of these individuals, according to testimony of witnesses at the time, were heard to shout, "Allahu Akbar,” as the committed their acts of terror and Jihad, which means, "God is Great," and is a known cry of Islamic Jihad terrorists around the world.

From: Charles Bishra (Bishop), who crashed a Cessna aircraft into the Bank of America tower in Tampa, FL.

"First of all, Osama bin Laden is absolutely justified in the terror he has caused on 9-11. He has brought a mighty nation to its knees! God blesses him and the others who helped make September 11th happen

"The U.S. will have to face the consequences for its horrific actions against the Palestinian people and Iraqis by its allegiance with the monstrous Israelis -- who want nothing short of world domination!

"You will pay -- God help you -- and I will make you pay!

"There will be more coming! Al Qaeda and other organizations have met with me several times to discuss the option of me joining. I didn't.

"This is an operation done by me only. I had no other help, although I am acting on their behalf."

From: Lee Mlavo who wrote the following during the trial for his part in the Beltway (and other) sniper killings.

"We will kill them all. Jihad . . . Allah Akbar!

“Our minarets are our bayonets, Our mosques are our baracks, Our believers are our soldiers.”

From: Sgt. Hasan Akbar, after his attack and from his diary, who attacked his own US Armny comrades on the eve of battle in Iraq.

"I do not like the military. They have too much control over people's lives. I suppose I am just anti-government…. A Muslim should see himself as a Muslim only. His loyalty should be to Islam only."

"I will have to decide to kill my Muslim brothers fighting for Saddam Hussein or my battle buddies.

"I may not have killed any Muslims, but being in the Army is the same thing. I may have to make a choice very soon on who to kill.

"You guys are coming into our countries, and you're going to rape our women and kill our children.

"I am not going to do anything about it as long as I stay here. But as soon as I am in Iraq, I am going to try and kill as many of them as possible," speaking in his diary of his fellow soldiers.

From: Mohammed Taheri-azar who drove his SUV into students on the UNiversity of North Carolina campus.

"In the name of Allah, the merciful, the compassionate.

"I am writing this letter to inform you of my reasons for premeditating and attempting to murder citizens and residents of the United States of America on Friday, March 3, 2006 in the city of Chapel Hill, North Carolina by running them over with my automobile and stabbing them with a knife if the opportunities are presented to me by Allah.

"I did intend to use a handgun to murder the citizens and residents of Chapel Hill, North Carolina but the process of receiving a permit for a handgun in this city is highly restricted and out of my reach at the present, most likely due to my foreign nationality.

"I am a servant of Allah. I am 22 years of age and I was born in Tehran, Iran. My father, mother and older sister immigrated to the United States in 1985 when I was two years of age and I've lived in the United States ever since.

"I attended elementary, middle and high school in North Carolina and I was accepted into the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I began my college career in August 2001 and graduated in December 2005 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and philosophy with Allah's help.

"Due to the killing of believing men and women under the direction of the United States government, I have decided to take advantage of my presence on United States soil on Friday, March 3, 2006 to take the lives of as many Americans and American sympathizers as I can in order to punish the United States for their immoral actions around the world.

"In the Qur'an, Allah states that the believing men and women have permission to murder anyone responsible for the killing of other believing men and women. I know that the Qur'an is a legitimate and authoritative holy scripture since it is completely validated by modern science and also mathematically encoded with the number 19 beyond human ability. After extensive contemplation and reflection, I have made the decision to exercise the right of violent retaliation that Allah has given me to the fullest extent to which I am capable at present.

"I have chosen the particular location on the University campus as my target since I know there is a high likelihood that I will kill several people before being killed myself or jailed and sent to prison if Allah wills. Allah's commandments are never to be questioned and all of Allah's commandments must be obeyed. Those who violate Allah's commandments and purposefully follow human fabrication and falsehood as their religion will burn in fire for eternity in accordance with Allah's will."

From: Major Nidal Hasan who killed 13 and wounded 29 at Ft. Hood, TX.

“It’s getting harder and harder for Muslims in the service to morally justify being in a military that seems constantly engaged against fellow Muslims.

"We love death more than you love life.

"There was a grenade thrown amongst a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was too late for everyone to flee, jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. It's more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralleled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory.

"Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor, we should not be in the war in the first place. Maybe people should strap bombs on themselves and go to Time Square," he told another officer after the Little Rock Arnasas shooting of two Army recruited by a fellow Muslim.

"I'm going to do good work for God," he told a neghbor the day of the shootings as he gave her a Koran and left fo the base.

Can there be any dount about the motivation of these individuals? There absolutely can not.

We must demand that our elected and appointed representatives and officials respond seriously and appropriately to this Jihad within our own country. Ignoring it is not an option. Being politically correct about it is not an option. Trying to call it something other than what it is is not an option. American citizens are being killed and maimed by the enemy within our own borders and we must call it exactly what it is and respond directly and forthrightly.

Any Mosque, any Imamm, and Muslim who teaches and promotess Jihad against America is not practising religion...they are engaging in open war and treason against these United States. We welcome religous folks whose basis is fumdamental moral principle, and who respects our God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We reject totalitariansm and tyranny, whatever the source.

And while we're at it...Mr. President, do an absolute, 180 degree ABOUT FACE on the monstrociy you have proposed to try foreign, irregular terrorists in on our soil in U.S. courts!

I’m wondering if any of the Minnesota Somali’s have acted on American soil. I know at least one or two have turned up fighting in Somalia after going back over. Don’t know if that counts or not.

I am NOT bashing your precious W. I simply want the facts to be clear. The "we haven't had another attack" line is pure BS. Just because it was not as big as 9/11 is of small comfort to those who lost loved ones in these attacks listed above. Those in the know are talking about strike teams and how many are in the country. The next strike team attack will most likely come from Jihadists that entered the country through the Southern border which W all but ignored and even encouraged the flow of undesirable people - including terrorists.

people like you who are ok with attacks smaller than 9/11 have a blind spot. It will be too bad if you or one of your relatives fall victim to the terrorists W willfully let come into our country through the open border.

Jeff, do you have an idea as to whatever happened with the muslim in Boise who killed his American wife (originally from the Gooding area, I think), and attempted to burn the house with his daughter(s) while his infant son was left outside away from the fire? IIRC, he had a teenage son from a different wife who helped.

This nut had been briefing local law enforcement and airport officials on racial profiling and sensitivity training regarding muslims, right after 9-11. There was also some mention that the wife may have found something on his computer.

He tried to arrange and set up the scene to make it look like he and his family had been the victims of a hate crime because of his Muslim faith.

Police at the time indicated that his wife was actively seeking a divorce from Azad and that they have had a number of disputes over money and property. They claimed this was the motive. Was it? Apparently the jury agreed. Was there an element of Islamic "honor" killing? I would not discount it...but Azad never said.

He was found guilty of 1st degree murder with special circumstances in his trial on November 11, 2004.

On November 23, 2004, the Jury recommended the death penalty..

Then on August 16, 2005, he was officially sentenced to death row by Judge Cheri Copsey.

In addition to the death sentence, Judge Copsey gave Abdullah 80 years in prison for 5 other crimes including 3 counts of attempted murder (his kids), 1 count of arson and 1 count of felony injury to a child.

He's now sitting on Idaho's death row.

I was in Idaho (lived in Nampa, worked in Boise) at the time of the crime. I left Idaho in early 2004, so I missed the trial/sentencing. It was a very strange case - I still wonder about the computer angle and whether or not the wife stumbled on something.

I live over in Emmett. Been here for over 13 years.

Worked the first 3-4 with Micron Electronics as a Sr, Manager over notebook/laptop development (XKE, Trek, etc. lines)...but then left just as Joel Kocher (the then CEO) finished running it in the ground. The resulting company lasted several years, but has finally gone completely out of business as well. Sad times too, it was once a very good company.

Have worked for the Federal Government for over 6 years now.

The case of Azada Abdullah is one I would probably list on a seperate page (that I am thinking about) of so-called Islamic honor killings. That has been happening with increasing frequency here where woman (most of them Americans who have married Islamics) and kids are killed by Islamic men because they believe they become too western, or are not maintaiing the honor of the family as they see it.

Let me be eloquent again: Cram it. I'm not "OK" with small attacks, I just think the vast majority of them will be unpreventable. If they can ever be prevented, it will only be via a radical change in societal attitude toward PC, not through any top-down law enforcement or military strategy issued from the Oval Office.
