Let’s hear it for hecatombs!
“Sacred Cows” exempted.
Based on what I know, in the case of Nepalese buffalo sacrifice anyway, yes they do eat them.
This is indeed a sort of religious barbecue party. And its not just done on this occasion either, its pretty normal in other religious celebrations in Nepal.

And from what I know, non-Hindus can also have some of the barbecue.
Are you really under the impression that the animals are not consumed by the people?
Read your Old Testament, and find out that 'sacrifices' are, for the most part, EATEN. cf Saul meeting Samuel at a sacrifice, when Saul was searching for his father's missing asses; Leviticus, where it is set out which parts of the sacrifices are consumed by whom; multitudes of other places.
In the western US, such a 'sacrifice' is called a "tailgate party".
The big differences are that instead of killing the animals on the spot, the already processed cuts are brought to the celebration; and instead of Hindu gods at a temple, it is jocks at a jockatorium that are being worshiped.
Bhagavad-Gita.
Arjuna is revealed Krishnas real form as the One Supreme Soul.
KRISHNA:
Yea! thou hast seen, Arjuna! because I loved thee well,
The secret countenance of Me, revealed by mystic spell,
Shining, and wonderful, and vast, majestic, manifold,
Which none save thou in all the years had favor to behold:
For not by Vedas cometh this, nor sacrifice, nor alms,
Nor works well-done, nor penance long, nor prayers nor chaunted psalms,
That mortal eyes should bear to view the Immortal Soul unclad,
Prince of the Kurus! This was kept for thee alone! Be glad!
Let no more trouble shake thy heart because thine eyes have seen
My terror with My glory. As I before have been
So will I be again for thee; with lightened heart behold!
Once more I am thy Krishna, the form thou knewst of old!
SANJAYA:
These words to Arjuna spake
Vâsudev, and straight did take
Back again the semblance dear
Of the well-loved charioteer;
Peace and joy it did restore
When the Prince beheld once more
Mighty BRAHMAs form and face
Clothed in Krishnas gentle grace.
ARJUNA:
Now that I see come back, Janardana!
This friendly human frame, my mind can think
Calm thoughts once more; my heart beats still again!
KRISHNA:
Yea! it was wonderful and terrible
To view me as thou didst, dear Prince! The gods
Dread and desire continually to view!
Yet not by Vedas, nor from sacrifice,
Nor penance, nor gift-giving, nor with prayer
Shall any so behold, as thou hast seen!
Only by fullest service, perfect faith,
And uttermost surrender am I known
And seen, and entered into, Indian Prince!
Who doeth all for Me; who findeth Me
In all; adoreth always; loveth all
Which I have made, and Me, for Loves sole end,
That man, Arjuna! unto Me doth wend.
Here endeth Chapter XI. of the Bhagavad-Gîtâ,
entitled Viswarupdarsanam, or The Book
of the Manifesting of the One
and Manifold
Not a bad idea,.
The difference between a "moderate Muslim" and an Islamist is about the same as the difference between HIV and AIDS.
But, lest any man make the mistake of disparaging the Hindus, know that they are probably our best ally in defeating Islam.
Placemark.
Oh, excuse me, the old testament that I read is about the Israelites, I don,t know anything about the hindu religion, but I do wonder how they can get by eating every five years.
And when did they start calling it a tailgate party, I thought when you killed and cooked a chicken or goat or a deer it was because you were hungry and wanted to eat,
we called it a feast.
I will look for that book, thanks much.
Also the : new world order, I think explains it pretty good.
Below is what explains it to me.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,
Some people will try to make you believe that the high places are heavenly places, but no they are the high places
here on earth.
It could not be refering to wickedness from heaven because when Christ went to be with his father there was war in heaven and the devil and all his angels was kicked out and sent to earth.
War in Heaven
rev. ch 12verse 1 through 9
what happens after the devil was cast to earth
revelation 12 verse 12 through 17.
Thanks again and God bless
You can either cure ignorance, or revel in it; your choice.
