Any new theories? Where do you stand on the old theories? Is the Warren Report conclusion (for all the flaws in its investigation) beginning to worm its way into your heart?
Did the assassination change your life? Did it (and successive assassinations) change your vision of America? Your vision of the world? Or is it irrelevant that there’s still doubt warranted (pun intended). Irrelevant in toto? (the Latin word, not Dorothy’s dog).
I’ve been thinking about Oswald. I think he fired shots that day. I can’t be sure he was alone, although I haven’t been convinced by any of the conspiracy theories. More importantly I can’t be sure why he did it. He was somewhere on the spectrum between nutcase and ideologue, maybe a combination of both.
Like a certain other shooter of recent vintage. It’s a dangerous combination.
Anyway, I’m interested in what people think about or if they do. It is November 22nd, you know. ....

The blow out went forward (huge exit wound) from a shot from BEHIND.
If the shot came from the FRONT the huge exit wound blow out of goo would have went from the OTHER direction. IT DID NOT, on JFK or the melon.
Are you saying P & T are describing the opposite of what they said?????????? The conclusion is that the shot came from behind, the reaction of the melon and JFK’s head are similar, consistent with a shot from behind.

I’ve noticed that no one has mentioned that the Doctors at Parkland Hospital in Dallas had sketched the entry and exit points of the gunshots. They, rightly, had jurisdiction of the body and should have done the autopsy iaw the law.
The Feds held them at gunpoint and took the body away. It was later autopsied at Bethesda and the sketches from the Doctors there did not match those done in Dallas. The Dallas Doctors testified to that and were totally ignored.
Just more fodder to disprove that there was at the least some sort of cover-up, if not a yet to possibly be disclosed conspiracy.
btw... It didn’t bother me at all that JFK, the liberal Dem, was killed. What DID bother me was that a President of the US was killed.
Then I read two truly substantive books, cover-to-cover, one right after the other. After that, I am fully convenced that Oswald pulled the trigger by himself, and that there were parties outside of the United States involved that found him to be a "useful idiot." I do believe that there was an attempt, mainly by LBJ and RFK to keep some things secret (the former for personal reasons, the latter in order to keep the image of his brother "respectable.") Of course, this is just my opinion based upon the books.

This book is impressive to me due to the deep research that was performed, the interviews conducted, and the thoroughness of every aspect of their investigation. They cover Oswald as the assassin, but do not get into the science or forensics of the assassination itself.

Like him or not, you have to give Fuhrman credit for his ability as an evidence investigator. (To bad he was put on trial for his alleged racist remarks during the O.J. trial - had that not have happened, the outcome might have put O.J. in prison much sooner. But fate has a way of working out, I guess.) In this book, Fuhrman deals strictly with time and evidence. While he does touch on the political aspects of the case, his focus is on the timeline and the evidence available (then and now.) He gets rid of the "magic bullet" through proper research and the fact that he doesn't ignore a dent in the stainless steel channel at the top of the windshield (where the top locks on to the car.) Had I served on an Oswald jury, and had I been presented with Fuhrman's gathered evidence, there would be no "shadow of a doubt." Oswald as lone assassin: GUILTY
Some of you may flame me for my view... That's fine, too. I'm entitled to my opinion, just as you are to yours. But if you haven't read these two books and are interested in the Kennedy assassination at all, you are missing some key information.

Go find & try the simulation program “JFK Reloaded”. It presents the situation from Oswald’s vantage point in real time, with you controlling the rifle. Makes it clear he could make that shot easy.
I’ve seen that game, and I’ve also seen all the recreations with computer models that create the Plaza in every detail, everything points to Oswald on the sixth floor.
Somehow it’s hard to accept for people that all of these experiments keep pointing to a lone shooter on the 6th floor. Amazingly, none of these experiments point to a shooter on the knoll or a shot from the front, I guess science and physics are biased against a conspiracy.
As you mention brothers in arms doesn’t cover the actual shooting, it’s just another conspiracy theory book.
Fuhrman’s book varies a little bit from Warren, Case Closed and Reclaiming History, I think the forensics are better in CC and RH, but Fuhrman still concluded Oswald acted alone.
The other books and shows are fun, but when you get down to the nitty gritty and analyze it, it’s Oswald and he’s alone.
Any other conclusion I put squarely in the 9/11 Truther category, they’re both equally ridiculous. The Crime of The Century HAS BEEN SOLVED, it was Oswald, alone. It’s just not as sexy as most would like it to be.
But a "lone nut" today, has more opportunities to hook up with other nuts, sometimes in a semi-anonymous fashion, thanks to the Internet.
In Oswald's day it was harder to make connections.
Many books have been written on various aspects of this subject. I’ve read many of them- some legitimate, most not. Some of the only facts that are incontrovertible pertain to ballistics. Again- get your facts straight.

That’s quite a story. I was in 2nd when it happened so I have no first hand experience - but - I personally knew dozens of people at Parkland who were there. For example I know that Arlen Specter made a special trip back to Dallas to re-interview Dr. McClelland with the express purpose of getting him to change his testimony. I don’t think too many people know that. Specter was a staff member for the Warren commission at that time.
Another weird factoid. One night I found myself at a party at Clint Murchison’s mansion on Forest Ave. - the very place that supposedly LBJ, Hoover and others had their rendezvous the night before the assassination and LBJ supposedly said there to his mistress - those bastards won’t bother us again after tomorrow.

The video shows the shot came from the back. Again are you saying that a video that is made to prove the shot came from the BACK actually shows the OPPOSITE??????????????????

Penn and Tellers blow out went FORWARD. They shot from BEHIND. Jackie went BACKWARD, because he was shot from IN FRONT. Its not that complicated.
