Guess Mr. Hayes just got a cold, hard look at reality and probably pooped his pants. Mr. Hayes....welcome to the REAL world. These people don’t ‘play’....and they don’t want ‘love’. Dumbasses.

I'm of the impression Mr. Hayes has taken cold hard looks at cold and hard realities...

Michael Hayes is senior editor of the Phnom Penh Post, a paper he co-founded in 1992.

Try reading the article in full. He's trying to EXPLAIN the cold, hard reality. He's not crapping himself over it.

As a tip, one can google the article's title, then access it direct from there, without having to "register" with the NYT.

Let’s give Mr. Hayes credit for speaking out now. What he said is very important and timely.

While he was wandering around Siem Reap (a place I couldn’t get to in 1970 due to the No. Vietnamese anti-aircraft threat), I was testifying before the House Foreign Affairs/International Affairs Committee of Congress.

I presented to them a “Secret” report on the Khmer Rouge occupation tactics in one region of Cambodia, tactics that were the precursor to the class leveling and genocide to follow in 1975-77.

I was in an office of the National Security Council when it came over the teletype to my friend who was an area security specialist on Indochina.

Ironically, I was there specifically to ask him if he had any documents I could use in a new study for Congress to be entitled “The Human Cost of Communism in Cambodia”, as a companion volume to the 1972 volume I created and worked on, entitled “The Human Cost of Communism in Vietnam” (Sen. Internal Security Subcommittee compendium study.

My friend helped me to get this document declassified almost immediately for the book and unbeknowst to me at that time, for use in a future congressional hearing.

The only reference I know of referring to my testimony and its warning (backed by the Quinn Report), can be found in Prof. Louis Fanning’s book “Betrayal in Vietnam”.

I’ve long ago learned, over the deaths of my friends and acquaintances in both So. Vietnam and Cambodia (where I was a journalist), that liberals and leftists don’t care about who they abandon or betray.

Mr.Hayes has reiterated this point 35 years after I testified about the planned genocide in Cambodia and the mass killings which had already taken place in So. Vietnam (and would in the future if the Communists won).

It looks like we both agree that another genocidal betrayal is in the works. After all, Obama has so many communists/marxists/socialists on his staff or as “czars” (I prefer “Commissars”),many of the Maoist orientation, that all they are doing is carrying on Mao’s and Pol Pot’s policies of betraying our allies and letting another “curtain of silence and blood” fall upon another country.

I call this policy “treason.”
