Have you ever tried to wash the windows of a smoker? There is a very unpleasant yellow sludge that is almost impossible to remove expecially in fabrics!!

Windex works great.......quick and easy with paper towels. Try it

What you are experiencing is airborne grease residue from excessive cooking without the benefit of an overhead fan above the stove. Or maybe you do have the fan, nevertheless, it's the grease. Try cleaning more often......I hate dirty kitchens.

Use Ajax and a Brillo pad soaked in Doc’s Deer Scents. Works every time. If that’s not handy, try a jackhammer or a Remington 870 with birdshot. A skunk dipped in a bucket of bilge water is also effective.
