Today's Senate schedule from the Democrats' Senate calendar:

Convenes: 9:45am

Resume debate on the motion to proceed to HR3509, the legislative vehicle for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009.

At 8:00pm, the Senate will proceed to a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.2590.

The 8pm vote will be the only vote of the day.

Debate time will be controlled as follows:

Saturday, November 21
10-11am Majority
11am-12pm Republicans
12-1pm Majority
1-2pm Republicans
2-3pm Majority 3-4pm Republicans
4-5pm Majority
5-6pm Republicans
6-6:30pm Majority
6:30-7:15pm Republicans
7:15-7:30pm Majority

This vote is THEATRE. Saturday vote, 8pm. So Dems can LOOK like they won something. THEY DIDN'T. This isn't even the bill they will vote on. It will be changed DRAMATICALLY by amendments. No one knows at this point what the final bill will look like. This is just choreography to build momentum (they THINK). It won't help. Too many senators will be scared to death of losing their jobs that they will not vote for cloture (to END debate). It would be their political death warrant. Keep up the debate. Keep up the debate. The huddled masses will only get angrier and angrier. This time delay and debate, will be to our benefit and success in killing this Trojan horse.
