Obviously Chris doesn’t believe in what he says. His head is too soft because of years of hard balls bouncing off it.

I guess Chris decided he didn’t want to “do his job”.

(He vowed to do everything he could to make this presidency work)

MSNBC Chris Matthews calls Obama an egghead? Too darn intellectual? Are these code words for too Marxist? lol And not making a decision on Afghanistan is actually a decision not to decide.
"President Obama has his chin out on just about every hot issue out there, Health care. Terror trials. Job losses.... Is he just too darned intellectual? Too much the egghead? Why did he bow to that Japanese emperor? Why did he pick Tim Geithner to be his economic front-man? Why all this dithering over Afghanistan? And who thought it was a wonderful idea to bring the killers of 9/11 to New York City, the media capital of the world, so they could tell their story?"

It sure looks like Matthews is flipping.

Considering that the media's role is to serve as a counter balance to the government, I thought it was only a matter of time until the anti-Bush crowd eventually turned on Obama. I didn't know if Chris would turn or if his declining ratings would require MSNBC to turn him out.

If I had to guess, I would think that someone in the executive offices at MSNBC had a chat with Matthews and reminded him that sycophancy doesn't sell.

“I guess the thrill is gone for little Chrissy...”

Earth, Wind & Fire - “After the Love Is Gone”

Could be their new theme song.
