If you can say there is no direct link to the vaccine for GBS then it would follow that there is no direct link between having the flu to GBS. Is that not correct?

There is a one case per one million dose occurrence of GBS in relation to the flu vaccine. You can also get GBS after having the actual flu.

There is nothing at that link that gives a basis for establishing a causal relationship to acquiring GBS to either the vaccine or to having the flu.
