I hope Nebraska have voted for their last Democrat.
“I disagree. If it passes it will require people to rise up in civil disobedience.”
I’m guessing that civil disobedience will occur when the provision for jail time if you don’t have ‘approved’ insurance actually butts up against the Constitution.
Many things done in Congress should be illegal, but this Landrieu bribe should really be illegal. That $100 million is to offset rising Medicaid costs the state must pay. Every state has increasing Medicaid costs, not just Louisiana, and this Obamacare bill will increase Medicaid even more.
There was also talk that a similar payoff might be made to Neveda to help Dingy Harry in his 2010 reelection bid. Not sure if that one is in this bill.
With those numbers, Lincoln is in serious trouble either way. Don’t even bother with the challenger numbers. When the incumbent is at 37 or 41, she’s in bad shape. That is why she may vote for this fascist health bill; she’s got nothing to lose.
Why? Why would Ben, who already said he was against the public plan, do this?
Does he even give a s*** about what the people of Nebraska think??
Doesn’t matter. Hussein will give Blanche MILLIONS OF DOLLARS for a re-election campaign and tons of $$ in porkulus.
We may all try and move to New Zealand with Rush Limbaugh...Hussein is going to force us to go Galt, I think.
Call the local in-state numbers if the DC numbers are busy. You can Google their name, go to their web site and go to CONTACT to get all their numbers.

Copy of my letter to a number of Senators including a few Democrats:
Dear Senator:
This is the first part of the email I received today from Senator Evan Bayh, followed by my reply.
A bipartisan push is needed to tame ballooning national debt
By Senator Evan Bayh
(CNN.com) - America’s national debt cannot grow beyond a limit imposed by Congress known as the “debt ceiling.”
In 1919, just after World War I, the limit on U.S. borrowing was $43 billion.
By 2001, it had grown to $5.9 trillion.
Today, the debt ceiling is at an all-time high of $12.1 trillion.
When President George W. Bush took office in 2001, our public debt amounted to 33 percent of our economy. Today, it is 60 percent of our gross domestic product. If we do nothing, our debt is projected to swell to over 70 percent by 2019.
To put those numbers in perspective: If you divided the debt equally among all Americans, every man, woman and child living in the United States today would owe more than $39,000.
Next month, members of Congress will be asked to vote to raise the roof on our allowable debt for the ninth time this decade.
Dear Senator Bayh:
I received your email and just read it this morning.
Do you really need to hire a new commission and pay those salaries when the answer to stopping the debt from topping at over 14 Trillion Dollars is to JUST GET EVERYONE IN THE SENATE TO VOTE NO ON THE HEALTH CARE BILL.
You say the easiest way is to keep borrowing. NO SIR. The EASIEST WAY is to VOTE NO on the Health Care Bill. You know it in your gut and so do your colleagues.
There’s going to be a TEN HOUR debate instead of a 36 hour reading of the Health Care Bill. What a trade off. You get to go home after you vote instead of staying up to read the bill. [sarcasm intended]
In those 10-hours YOU have the ability to convince Senators from both sides of the aisle that their vote NO is worth far more than Senator Reid or McConnell can promise them. It’s not worth the cost promised because it will cost taxpayer voters over $14,000,000,000. Fourteen TRILLION Dollars. Voters who do not want to be taxed or have taxes returned to Clinton levels.
NO, Vote NO and tell your colleagues why you are voting no. If you truly mean what you say about cutting expenditures, you will be very convincing in your discussion with your colleagues to get them to vote NO as well.
Thank you for reading this email. Copies are being sent to other [Republican] Senators including Senator McConnell.
PS: I am an Alabama Democrat living and voting in Georgia and was a card-carrying Republican until the GOP Chair, Michael Steele, refused to set a Constitutional Conservative Agenda for the GOP.

PPS: I failed to tell Senator Bayh that I am also sending this letter to Democrat Senators Nelson, Landrieu, and Lincoln.
Remind them that we don’t have to live in their state to donate and work for their opponents. That’s how rats keep getting moderates elected when they can’t get libs.
If I'm not mistaken, they need 60 votes this go-round ... after this one they only need 50 to pass it ... so Ben is screwing the pooch
.....keep calling amd faxing....
Only if you live in their state for senators, or district for congressmen. They toss everything else. They really pay attention to real letters via snail mail from their constituents or individually in person at home. This is from ex staffer friends of mine. Of course, if you give them lots of cash they will listen a lot.
If we move to New Zealand we may find that Blanche Lincoln is the new US ambassador there, after she loses her Senate seat. Isn’t that where Carol Mostly-Fraud was ambassador after losing the Illinois senate seat?
I’d love to live in New Zealand but it is too liberal for me.
