CO2 is, by definition, a greenhouse gas...but a very poor one.
One of my “side” hobbies is Astronomy. I came across a page where someone had calculated what it would take to increase Mars’ temperature (and eventually oxygen) to atmosphere to make it habitable. Mars is 95% CO2, but very thin, but still more CO2 total mass than Earth has...yet it’s bitter cold.
Adding enough N2 and O2 to make an earth-like atmosphere that would consist of 80% N2, 19.4% O2, and 0.6% CO2(assuming it could be done) warmed the planet up a lot more than doubling CO2 but adding nothing else. Furthermore, the N2/O2 atmosphere only warmed less than a degree even doubling the CO2 from there from 0.6% to 1.2%...
In other words, the THICKNESS of the atmosphere had a LOT more effect than the composition. Obviously this is all speculative, and based on modeling...
If this is all true, then increasing Earth’s CO2 from 0.29% to 0.35% can’t have more than a minimal effect, IMHO.

They are going to go tooth and nail. There are trillions of potential dollars tied up in this, and a lot of people stand to make a lot of money.
I admit that normally I would like to see the hands cut off of computer hackers and see them put into stocks, preferably in front of a large computer oriented trade show.
But liberals have learned the power of computers and the Internet, and have been using it to advance their socialist and Marxist agendas. Global warming legislation has the potential to turn us into a third world country. We are being attacked, and need to fight back.
Plus, attacking global warming is the equivalent of attacking religion. How this story progresses should be both interesting and illustrative.

Does that mean that Al Gore will be investigated and hauled away for scamming so many people and getting very rich?

Ed, one of the commenters over at Climate Audit says if you follow the money, it leads to Soros. I dont have time to verify the accuracy of that, but you might want to look into it.

I believe we are at war, and even if the exact identity and nature of the enemy is not well understood by many...the fact that global warming legislation is the camel nose in the tent to unified global regulation is just one part of the issue.
The other part is that global warming legislation will push our country over the edge, especially when we are forced to swallow it, and places like China and India have no intention of hobbling their own economies.
And someone stands to profit from that.

If true, these dufuses were actually stupid enough to keep emails essentially saying “GET RID OF THE INCRIMINATING EMAILS THAT SHOW WE FUDGED AND MANIPULATED DATA! AND TELL SO-AND-SO TO GET RID OF HIS TOO!”
Too bad irony is generally lost on liberals.
It’s about time and considering we paid for all of this “research”, any comments on this being criminal should be reserved for the ones that concealed the data.
