The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiment could be re-started on Saturday morning at the earliest, officials have said.
Engineers are preparing to send a beam of sub-atomic particles all the way round the 27km-long circular tunnel which houses the LHC.
The £6bn machine on the French-Swiss border is designed to shed light on fundamental questions about the cosmos.
The LHC has been shut down for repairs since an accident in September 2008.
Yes, please, end the world, I’ve just about had it. :P
I’m with you the best is behind us.
Maybe this is God’s way.....
“Yes, please, end the world, Ive just about had it.”
So THIS is why Obama has been racing to get Obamacare enacted! This also explains his bizarre remark that he’s not the first president to address this problem, but is determined to be the last. I guess he wanted it on the history books before the world ended. Is the vote that Harry Reid scheduled before or after this event? Maybe the fix really is in!
Not to worry. Ttime travelers from the future will disrupt this test like they did the last one.
Don’t end the world on a friggin weekend!
Do it on a Monday morning...please
No thanks our family is in the best years of our lives.
God first, family the oh well cant help who is in DC untill the next election.
I’m banking on another pigeon raid putting things back in persepctive.
The £6bn machine on the French-Swiss border is designed to shed light on fundamental questions about the cosmos.
Can they find the origin of the universe. Can they prove how it all began. Or what happens if after spending £6bn they find nothing?

Never Mind.
Every time there is a story on the LHC us dyslexics get a chuckle out of it.
I actually have a very liberal friend from college who has his PHD in physics who works on that project at CERN. I kid him that he reminds me of Dr. Evil in his underground lair and must be getting ransom for not imploding the world into a black hole. So THAT is where our huge budget is coming from...
I thought the collider was in Texas. When did it get moved to the French-Swiss border?
We weren’t dumb enough to pay for it to be there.
That would be a pigeon from the future.
:-)
Yes, of course, or so they claim.
“Yes, please, end the world, Ive just about had it. :P “
Hell NO......not until AFTER Thanksgiving dinner !! ;-)
