lieberman and a dem have stated their opposition.
THey’d need four repubs if that holds.
I don’t think they have it.
Their opposition is to the so-called public option, and Lieberman has said that he would not let a bill that had that come up for a final vote.
However, I believe the vote this Saturday is on whether to take up a bill for debate, amendment, etc., and Lieberman has NOT expressed an intention to block taking up a bill for debate.
They stated their support of a filibuster to end debate and move to a vote, i.e. cloture.
The vote Saturday is a motion to proceed, which is merely to bring the bill to the floor for consideration.
It’s hard to say whether or not it’ll pass, although one would think everyone would be on board here (all Dems plus 2 I’s anyway).
They just paid off Landrue with a 100 million dollar aid bill for Katrina??? How much will the others cost?
Chuck-U-Schumer and Kristin Killibrand will vote for the Nazis.
