Lieberman never indicated he would vote against cloture on the motion to bring the bill to the floor, neither has Nelson. They indicate they’ll vote against cloture on final passage.
What about Byrd? Is he even well enough to vote?
It appears so, he has been voting lately.
I’d bet that he would not said that unless he knows that collins and snowe would vote for it. Look how easy miss piggy from LA sold out.
that’s why they are in a hurry they want to vote before KKK Byrd kicks off. Isn’t there some other RAT senator that is practically on a ventilator and they keep bringing him out to vote? Who is that?
Nelson’s real position is that he wants to vote NO on the procedural vote on Saturday night but he needs MORE PRESSURE from people who live in Nebraska — call him at 202-224-3121
If the switchboard is jammed, call his local offices in Nebraska.
Same with Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas.
Reid is bluffing - he does NOT have the votes as yet.
Reid lost his shirt 3 weeks ago over the Doc Fix bill — couldn’t even must 47 votes and thought he had 60.
CALL ALL OF YOUR SENATORS - EVEN THE RATS IN BLUE STATES. Make them feel the heat.
Collins and Snowe are voting NO on Saturday night. All GOP senators are voting NO.
Why in the name of God are we wasting time on OLD information and bashing our own people.
Sheesh.
And HERE is another 100 billion, with a b that a BUBBA JUDGE just offered Mrs. Mary, Mary, quite contrary...you better believe Bubba is pulling Mrs. Mary's chain with this TIMELY decision
Burris? He voted in favor of ACORN. He spoke out in favor of ACORN, in the midst of the scandalous videos. Burris is from Illinois. He is in the pocket of community organizers, Jesse Jackson and his ilk, SEIU, etc. There is no way Burris will do anything but what a typical leftist, machine Dem would do. He will vote in lockstep for whatever healthcare bill the Dems put forward.
If we could absolutely predict how people will vote, there would be no point in having elections, lobbying, or even having a website like Free Republic. We could just let the computers factor out all the contervailing forces, tot up the statistical likelihoods, and then make the decrees by which we live.
But we're not entitled to give up, because "people are odd, sometimes" and we simply do not know.
Personally, I'm concentrating on Nelson and Lincoln. But those who pull any trick out of the bag with Burris, should do so now.
Chicago radio has been announcing all morning that the Senate Ethics Com. is admonishing Roland Burris for his statements regarding involvement with former governor Blago. Seems like odd timing, he may be getting squishy on his healthcare yes vote. Call him at 202-224-2854, fax 202-222-3333, urge him to vote no. The Dems are ready to throw him under the bus anyway, he has nothing to lose. A great parting shot, denying them access to this pot of money.
Te first phone # you listed leads to a voice message system requiring a code number which I don't have. And I don't have fax. Do you have the voice mail number? Or another direct number? Otherwise, I can call the Senate switchboard....
That’s the number listed everywhere for him. I thought it might be easier to get thru. I usually call the main 202-224-3121 number. Is there a general Senate Number?
I had trouble getting thru now on the main number. When I finally got to talk to the operator, she told me all circuits are busy and to call the Burris direct number 202-224-2854 and I got thru with no problem. Talked nicely with the aide and told her to tell him to do the right thing (vote no.) All they ask for is a zipcode...606 and any two numbers for Chicago.
