You don't Mirandize a corpse, which is the only way he should be brought in.

Agreed. And if it becomes clear that battlefield prisoners will be treated like common criminals, the troops will either not bother detaining them or will ensure that their are no breathing prisoners requiring legal counsel.

Personally, I believe he needs to be captured alive otherwise he’ll become a martyr. Bring him in alive and shown for the weaking he is and let him live in captivity like an animal.
