Yep, I'm glad I read that one all the way to the end. VDH picks up steam as he goes on and finishes with a stunner. "My Own Views?" is a just a little outside FR's excerpt limit but probably should have a thread of its own.

In other words, I would trust the judgment of someone with Palin’s background on matters of Iran or Honduras or Putin far more than I would someone of Obama’s resume.

That is not the view of Putin, Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Zelaya, Ortega, and Kim Jong Il. That ought to tell us something.

What spooks liberals is Sarah Palin's actual upright and moral life more than her politics. They also are subconsciously jealous of this woman who

• has had five children  (a large family these days)
• has a good marriage to one good ol boy who is not a damn lawyer or something similar
• likes good clean fun...outdoors activities like hunting and snowmobiling
• is Christian
• pro 2nd Amendment and hunts

in contrast the liberals who go crazy over her tend to be 

• often unmarried
• have zero or few children
• have relationship problems and play around whether married or not
• have aborted a baby or two
• live in cities and cities breed socailists
• are over educated college grads who majored in squishy subjects and think they know everything
