GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. Hundreds of Sarah Palin fans lined up Wednesday at a Michigan book store to get the chance to meet the former Alaska governor as she kicked off a national tour for her book "Going Rogue."
Some supporters camped out overnight to be among the first to get wristbands from the Barnes and Noble bookstore at Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids. Those with the orange bands will get the opportunity to have the former 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate sign their copies of the book at the three-hour signing event Wednesday evening.
The memoir was released Tuesday but has topped best-seller lists for weeks.
"Everyone here has been excited and patient," Barnes and Noble spokeswoman Maddie Hjulstrom said of the waiting crowd.

Hundreds? I heard that it was in the thousands by noon (with her appearance scheduled for 6 PM.)
Oh, puhleeze! Just undermine her obvious support, as if those giving her book as a gift didn't like her. << eyes rolling >>

Here at Borders in Indy. Got here @ 5:20. We’ve had tow news choppers and the local news core on the ground. I figure around 100-200 pol when I got here. The lines has more than doubled.
“Thousands cheer Palin in Mich. for book tour”
Headline on yahoo for the same AP story..
It will be real interesting to find out who changed the Hundreds to Thousands or Thousands to Hundreds.
A real good guess would be that it got changed from Thousands to Hundreds by some Zero sympathizer. Since that was an AP copyrighted headline I would think they would get VERY upset by that...sarc/
Hundreds, tens of hundreds, what the difference to the press? They smost likely didn’t find their way to the signing until it was almost over so the only people left were the lucky ones with wrist bands. The other question is how many really beleive that journalists decided on their trade only after flunking out of math classes and had to come up with some sort of major to keep mommy and daddy happy to keep their useless asses in party central frat or sorr houses. Let’s face it, there are not a lot of Einstein’s in the LSM.
They ran out of wrist bands which means there was over 1000.
Fox says 4,000 people were there....over 300,000 book sales already.
Fox just saying 4000 with 200 media - heehee.
“. Lets face it, there are not a lot of Einsteins in the LSM.”
As far as I know, they haven’t ‘fact checked’ Al Gore’s statement that the Earth’s internal temperature is “millions of degrees”.
You expect the “Saved or Created” crowd to be able to get any count correct???
They haven’t weighed in on the 57 states either.
Look folks, it doesn’t matter whether the “lamestream media” cites hundreds or thousands of people turning out to get Sarah Palin’s autograph. Those words mean nothing. Fact is, Ms. Palin in her interviews so far, hs proven that she is capable, articulate, imbued with deep common sense and clearly undersstands where our country has to go. On top of that, we are now deeply imbedded in the failed Presidency of POTUS Barack Obama. Ms. Palin will become a major force in exerting pressure on socialist, America detractor Barack Obama to either get with the program or resign so that this nation can move forward in positive fashion!!! And....what the “lamestream media” thinks or says, has no meaning or impact at all.
She’s coming to Books-A-Million in the Orange Park Mall in Jacksonville on Tuesday.
You have to stand in line on Monday night to get a wrist band, so you can stand in line on Tuesday to see her.
But she’s not to be taken seriously, so we’re told. You betcha.
There is already several hundred lined up to see her here in Noblesville, IN. She’s not due to arrive until 6pm.
I was on the road at 8 am yesterday and WOOD AM was reporting 1500 people at that time, hours before her appearance. Hundreds. Only thousands at the Washington DC Tea Party on 9/12.
Liars. All of them. Liars.
