When is someone going to sue GOOGLE? They have a virtual monopoly on the internet and are using that monopoly of information in a deceptive way. Same goes for the MSM>

Deceptive trade practices?

“When is someone going to sue GOOGLE? They have a virtual monopoly on the internet and are using that monopoly of information in a deceptive way.”

There are still better than a dozen search engines on the net. Unfortunately Google does what they do very well and their name is no different than Xerox’s was for photo copying or Polaroid’s was for instant photography.

It’s next to impossible to overcome a technology/function that is synonymous for your brand name until something comes along and makes Google obsolete.

Trust me, it can happen. Go back and watch science fiction movies from the 60’s-80’s when you see companies like the Bell System, Eastern Airlines, Pan Am and numerous others projected to exist in a futuristic sense after the year 2000.

Something will come along and unseat Google. The initial founders are billionares several times over but when they stop making millionares of new employees is when talent flees for start ups. Then something else will beat them.

However you are correct. They are in a near monopoly on search and they have the ability to filter searches in truly disturbing ways that would make the MSM green with envy.

Why does anyone still use Google?
They will go away if we stop using them.

I remember when Compuserve was the end all be all of online services.
