That pic is not one of Obama disrespecting the flag. I thought it was at first glance and even posted a popular thread here on FR featuring it.

Later I received a contact from another Freeper that shed doubt on it and did some research and found a video of the event.

Those saluting and putting their hands over their hearts were doing so saluting the President as he came out on stage and stood there awaiting to speak. Obama, since he was the one being saluted, of course did not salute.

If you know a link to the video I would be interested. I have never seen anyone salute the president by putting their hand over their heart. The military saluting I understand, but that?

Never mind, I found it. It was in Indianola and the national anthem was being sung (very badly), and he did not put his hand over his heart.

And he was not president at the time - it was during the campaign.
