"Helen Gable....was exercising due care" while standing on the tracks, the lawsuit said."
Er.....how does the first half of that sentence jive with the second half?

it’s like running back and forth across the freeway with due care.

Helen Gable was taking pictures on the railroad tracks in Tupelo in 2006 when a train cut her leg nearly off as she tried to get out of the way.
Gable and her husband are suing the BNSF Railway Co. for nearly $6 million. The husband wants $575,000 for "his mental anguish and loss of consortium and sexual relations with his wife."
Why? Did the train also implant a penis on her?

Shaking my head again. Clearly she was in the wrong, trespassing in a dangerous area...yet she will get money for breaking the law.

"Helen Gable was taking pictures on the railroad tracks in Tupelo in 2006 when a train cut her leg nearly off . . . The husband wants $575,000 for "his mental anguish and loss of consortium and sexual relations with his wife." As I recall from my high school sex ed classes, the leg isn't a primary sex organ.
Then again, I could be wrong.

So he hasn’t gotten any... Nah, I’m not going to say that.

A leg? Hardly. She needs to change her name to Eilean. Or Stumpy. I vote for Peg.

And I think these people should be charged for all the costs of their legal filing and then punitive charges should be added while the judge throws their claims out.

“exercising due care” and “standing on the train tracks” do not belong in the same sentence.

Was it the ultra-quiet stealth train with Romulan cloaking technology?

No - I think her scumbag lawyer will get most of it. Her and hubby will probably get enough to buy some floss to polish her tooth.

Woman hit by train while taking photos on Tupelo tracks seeks millions from railroad.Damned right!
We demand signs in 5 different languages, every 200 feet; also in pictures for the benefit of government school graduates.
Let's see now; how many miles of railroad tracks in the United states?
Hey!
I need stimulus money.
I just this great sure fire money-making idea!
Franchises for sign companies, combined with grafitti supplies.
Guaranteed to be in demand forever!

She also claims the train was exceeding federal speed limits Stupid and trespassing aside....
Wouldn't you want to know what lens she was using? (Was probably a 'point and ...SHOOT!)
Think that's how the warning on auto side view mirrors came about -- objex may be closer than they appear

I do believe standing on a railroad right-of-way is trespassing.
We live in an age when people don’t take responsibility for their own actions, and screwball Liberals encourage that.

And then people (including some freepers? probably not) will whine about the railroads pressing trespassing charges against people...

Helen Gable, while taking pictures of her nieces daughter, was exercising due care while standing on the tracks, the lawsuit said. That's the scary part. She had her NIECE'S DAUGHTER on the tracks with her, and could have gotten the kid killed.
This wouldn't happen so much if the police would arrest this woman for child endangerment.
