“We remain committed toward our goal of reducing the AP’s global payroll cost by 10 percent in 2009,” Colford told AFP.

I remain committed to working toward the day the AssPress is bankrupt, with no liberals to employ.

Makes sense. If you don’t actually report the news anymore, you don’t need employees now do you?

I'm sorry to see anybody get laid off in this economy, even if I don't agree with their politics. I wish them better luck in whatever field they go into next since print journalism is dieing.

To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, one must have a heart of stone to read this account of the tragic layoffs at AP without bursting out laughing.

Start layoffs with the ELEVEN AP total hacks who tried character assassinate Sarah.... and failed!

AP writers: Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine contributed to a 600 word faked “report.”

Wow. That’s ten “AP writers” plus Calvin Woodward, the AP writer whose twinkling pen honed the above contributions into the turgid sludge of the actual report.

Too bad these AP jobs couldn’t be saved with the stimulus funding. Afterall, 5,000 jobs were created or saved in 96th Congressional District of Rhode Island.

The US news agency the Associated Press (AP) laid off dozens of employees on Tuesday as part of a plan to reduce its global payroll by 10 percent this year, a union statement said.

Hahahaha!!! How do you like your socialist regime now under 0bozo the economic clown? How is that pandering for your messiah 0bozo, the anointed one (piss be upon him) working for you now?

"This is a very sad day for our AP colleagues and the public who relies on their important news work," said News Media Guild president Tony Winton.

You mean the crap news that I never read from newspapers that I never buy??? You liberal pinkos couldn't write a fair & balanced article if your lives depended on it.

Now if only the rest of AP and deranged mainstream media fails and has to hit the unemployment lines. This is the only way that 0bozo will truly be driven out of office, when his own zombies turn on him.

About 11 months ago there was a great editorial in the NYT and these columnists were all screaming to the high heavens about how some of them now couldn’t any longer afford to live in MANHATTAN.

Like it was some kind of RIGHT or something.

I wonder how much worse they would have seen it if illegals could just traipse into their jobs....?
