The subtle hostility to those of us who question the Constitutional validity of Raila Odinga's favorite cousin makes me even more curious. Especially when it comes from "Integrity touting Conservatives" here at Free Republic.
These folks dodge some of my direct questions, and instead choose to stonewall us and relegate us as "birthers" simply because we are asking WHY Raila Odinga's favorite cousin is behaving the way that he is.
The stonewallers still cannot answer my question of whether or not Obama's behavior is suspicious given the simplicity of what is being asked for.
Even they must have a tiny ounce of belief that this can all be dropped tomorrow if he mails in certifiable copies of his birth records from Hawaii.
The fact that the Governor of Hawaii has publicly stated that the birth certificate is "locked up" in some kind of "secret vault" makes me wonder why the heck that was necessary.

Consider:
This wouldn't matter to those who hold that a Natural Born Citizen must have two citizen parents. Those challenges would continue.
This wouldn't matter to those who hold that a President cannot have ever held any type of dual-citizenship or rights to a citizenship other than American citizenship. Those challenges would continue.
This wouldn't matter to those who have already decided that he was born outside the US. No amount of evidence will convince them. It will would be denounced as a forgery and added to his list of crimes. Those challenges would continue.
The number of people who would have their opinion changed regarding his place of birth is pretty minimal. And of those, how many you think would support him or vote for him?
So... What motivation is there for BHO to really do anything about it?
Why should he make any effort to keep his opponents from acting goofy? Mind you, this is not asking what the correct or moral decision is. But what's in it for him? Why should he feel, from his point of view, any motivation to do anything about it?
You might have noticed that he's been President for almost a year or 1/4 of his term. Unless this becomes an election issue in 2012 or Congress changes hands and the issue gets investigated, he probably doesn't feel any need to do anything more than he has already done.
