Now these (all you posting in agreement) are my kinda Freepers.

Gets so sad to read so many posts dissing everything to how the guy sneezes.

Keep it real.

Bump for all Freepers who are tired of nonsensical nit picking and stick to the truth of and important issues.

This picture has been identified as having taken place on Memorial Day, not Veteran’s Day.

So correct the original misleading content like the New York Times would.
Bury it on page 23...

Well, interesting point.

But the fact remains that everyone else on the dais was still saluting, including the other civilian up there, while Obama’s hands dropped where they normally seem to go—to his crotch.

He’s not just someone in the audience. He’s the President, on display, honoring our country and our dead. If he doesn’t know when to stop saluting, he should have waited for the other guys up there, who have done it before, to play the lead.

Ronald Reagan, in his early days, refused the advice of his advisors, who said he should look preppy and casual like JFK. He told them that he was not JFK and that he would appear to the public with the dignity that the presidency deserves.

Obama doesn’t begin to understand that. It’s all about him—personally—as far as he’s concerned.

So, this photo wouldn’t be getting all this publicity if he hadn’t allowed it to happen by his careless and stupid behavior at a very important public moment.

This did not happen on Veterans Day. Obama was wearing an overcoat and a blue tie on November 11.

The photo in question was taken Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.

Other than that, thanks for clearing this up.

No one I know ever said he failed to salute 100% of the time.

What this picture shows is he's failing to salute at the proper time.

That's entirely consistent with his anti-American actions and his previous behavior when saluting was required.

You have now confused a lot of folks.

The youtube video you posted is entitled: “Obama Memorial Day Speech 2009 Part 2”

Can you please clarify things so that we can know whether or not Obama had his hand over his heart during Veterans Day 2009 ceremonies or not?

I suspected there was something else to this. Like you, I’m no fan of this idiot. But there is a lot of nonsense that gets circulated just like there was about Bush. There’s plenty of what’s true to use to take down Obama with. We don’t need to resort to the kind of deceit the left uses to go after him.

The problem is when do you put your hand back down? As can be clearly scene as the last loooooooooong note is played at 3:29 a number of people lower their hands (including the couple directly to the right of the trumpet) at 3:38. The woman in red to the left still has her hand on her heart for a few more seconds. Had the photo been taken right then, it would appear the couple to the right were unpatriotic because in a photo their hands were down when compared to others.

Obama may have been a little quicker than others to put his hand down (maybe patriotism is hard for him-lol) but he did have it up unlike the famous photo with Hillary and Richardson.

So what really happened is the teleprompter displayed "Cross hands in front of crotch in 'fig-leaf' pose" a few seconds sooner than it should have?

This is Memorial Day, not Veteran’s Day.

Bush had several memes attached to him that hurt him for eight years. I think the same dynamic can be applied to Obama, until the left recaptures the information flow.

Back on topic, do you have a vid clip that matches the title and makes your point in a non-misleading way?

it is still a fake when the caption states something that is not true.
Believe me he probably had his fingers crossed when he did it, but we have to be totally honest about presentations.
