Fort Hood massacre suspect Nidal Malik Hasan sought to have some of his patients prosecuted for war crimes based on statements they made during psychiatric sessions with him, a captain who served on the base said Monday.
Other psychiatrists complained to superiors that Hasan's actions violated doctor-patient confidentiality, Capt. Shannon Meehan told The Dallas Morning News.
One day after the Nov. 5 attack that killed 13 and wounded 29, a Fort Hood official said she had never received complaints about Hasan's job performance. Col. Kimberly Kesling, deputy commander of clinical services at the base's Darnall Army Medical Center, also said he was a "hardworking, dedicated young man who gave great care to his patients."

By that same logic, Hitler had no blame for his atrocities against mankind.
The legal meaning of insanity prevents one who has thought the thing through, and has his reasons and plans, and is in full possession of his faculties, from being judged insane.
It isn’t nearly enough to say that because he thought it was ok, therefore it was ok for him.
Trust me.
The army board that passes over any army Captain for Major better have a long paper trail.
Don't worry. Liberals can easily redefine things.
Just look at the 9/11 trial in NYC. These terrorists now have the protection of OUR Constitution, legal rights as citizens and our GOVERNMENT will be on trial. Who would have thought they'd do THAT. I'm telling you, it's INSANITY to do those things.
Obiviously the good Colonel is in line for a promotion!
BTW, I believe YOU are right but the LEFT running the show is ALWAYS wrong.
I wonder how many suicides this Col and Major Hasan assisted?
COL Kesling, I'll give you a choice: reason your commission, or face a court martial for dereliction of duty.
Unless the Army is the Left running the show, when he is tried this will not happen.
To say there is pc in the Army is not the same as saying the Left will run this Army trial.
Many in the Army were afraid for their careers. In no way did they think his behavior was ok or excusable just because they did not speak out or speak out forcefully.
Now that he has done this horrific act, pc will not lead to an Army jury finding him innocent by insanity.
I don't get how this was a possibility even in Hassan's dreams. Isn't it immoral? Isn't a soldier seeing an Army psychiatrist entitled to the unbreachable wall of privacy he'd get if he spoke in confidence to his lawyer? Or to a Catholic priest? I don't see the point of going to an Army shrink if there's no patient confidentiality. Might as well go off-base.
They’re going through enough already.
What a shame that a dirt bag like this was allowed to stir up their brains even further.
Get used to it.
I have to believe that’s at least partly thanks to the lying anti-American terrorist-embracing media. The troops should be getting treated as heros, no ifs ands or buts, instead they come home to a media and groups like Code Puke calling them murderers and worse. The guys who dropped the first atom bomb, to the best of my knowledge, never felt that they’d committed a crime (which of course they hadn’t), but just imagine them having to come back to the media/political climate our troops have had to face since at least Vietnam.
The media and the rats have so much to answer for in their treason.
What kind of drugs are these people on?
Hasan was openly communicating how much he hated the American effort in Afghanistan and Iraq, and he was accusing his patients of war crimes. And this woman claims that he was the greatest thing since sliced bread?
These politically correct drones shock and disturb me because they are not capable of distinguishing RIGHT from WRONG, and this particular FAILURE directly led to the murder of 14 human beings and the serious wounding of another 40.
WTH is wrong with these damn idiots?
Are they that stupid by default, or are they programmed to reject common sense?
” “He was right on his authority to report it,” said the ex-Marine,
who formerly served as a court-martial judge. The Army teaches all
service members that they have a duty to report evidence of war crimes. “
(I’m not Catholic)
It seems the moral of this sad tale is that if you have to get something
off your chest about wartime activities...
take it to a priest in the confessional.
(My naive thought is that if you confess something vile enough,
the priest might tell you that you need to turn yourself in and
take your lumps. But not being Catholic, I may be totally off with
that speculation.)
Not only has this EVIL Hasan put 13/14 in a grave and wounded many
others...
he’s now poisoned any thought that returning military personnel
will readily open up to their shrinks/counselors.
(I’m not for covering-up for obvious war-crimes. But this SOB Hasan
was probably looking to turn any innocent, but regrettable, collateral
damage into a war crime.)
ABSOLUTELY
At the very least our wonderful D.C based Freepers like Raoul and Kristinn have made sure that Code Pinkos didn’t go unchallenged.
These young men and women are no different than the Soldiers that fought to the death to defet the Fascist National Socialist of WWII.
To have this traitor attempting to destroy our young soldiers BEFORE he MURDERED others is beyond outragous. It is pure evil.
If that’s true that Hasan had demanded “any number of times” that his own patients be charged with war crimes, why on earth did his superiors give him any patients at all? About two or three times is enough to notice a major problem.
He was in the US Army, Marines use Navy doctors and Corpsmen.
Also there is something about "Do no harm"
Boy howdy. Can you imagine some poor grunt being sent to this example of poor bovine breeding? On top of that, she’d probably tell ‘em he’s a baby killer and a war criminal.
Saw that I said Marines and not Army, but my son in the Marines says they (the Marines) are the only real soldiers anyway.....
joke...
