What do you wear when you're invited to lunch with Michelle Obama?
If you're Rebecca Martinez, a 17-year-old at Sheridan High School, you wear a satin blouse and a pencil skirt "because it's so in right now."
If you're actress Susan Sarandon, you wear a slouchy off-white jacket, roomy trousers and sneakers because you've been around long enough to know how high heels torture your feet after you've been standing for a couple of hours.
If you're actress Fran Drescher and want everyone to know you're still a hottie, you wear a curve-hugging navy- blue sweater dress and knee-high boots.

Eighty girls from area high schools were joined by an impressive array of actors and politicos, CEOS and philanthropists. There was even an astronaut Ellen Ochoa and Obama administration chiefs such as Kathleen Sebelius of Health and Human Services.

Susan Sarandon mentoring Denver public school girls and the media focuses on what they were wearing. According to wikipedia:
Along with anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan, Sarandon took part in a 2006 Mother's Day protest sponsored by Code Pink; she has expressed interest in portraying Sheehan in a movie. In January 2007, she appeared with Robbins and Jane Fonda at an anti-war rally in Washington, D.C. in support of a Congressional measure to withdraw U.S. forces from Iraq.
I wonder if the parents were told Susan was going to be their daughters' mentor?

She must have a really goofy waist for them to have to hide it with those stupid "breast belts".Her belts seem to equal Hillary's perpetual pant-suits.

And then Janeane Garofalo showed up.

I reread this article. I must conclude that it is pure propaganda.
There is no value in it except what one can get by reading between the lines.
The bit about Susan Sarandon mentoring kids was a red flag for me, as is anything regarding Kathleen Sebelius, who is a damn dirty liar and who is gonna get us all killed with her crazy edicts.

I see Michelle has been mentoring Madonna about fashion:

Well thank goodness for their mentoring!
I am so sick of seeing people walk around in non-fashionable attire.
What's wrong with people? Why can't they stay up to the minute with fashion? What's more important than that? Struggling to stay employed, pay their bills and provide food and shelter for their families?
How passe. Don't they understand that our betters in Europe are laughing at us?

Michelle and Susan and Fran would be the last people I would want mentoring my child.
There's not an above pea brain mentality among them.

Michelle and Susan and Fran would be the last people I would want mentoring my child. They can teach them the importance of socialism, pacifism, anti-Americanism, feminism, and abortion. All the things a girl should love.

And this is the same media who questions Sarah Palin's ability to be a "good mother"? Fiercely radical Sarandon, divorced once, has never married the father (Robbins) of her sons. This is hardly a woman I would want mentoring my daughters.

It's important for empowered women to look their best.
Unless they're Sarah Palin.

Oy, that picture of Michelle! Judging by that expression, I’m guessing she snacked on lead paint chips as a kid.
