Letter: (Lindsey) Graham out of touch with party, constituents
The Island Packet, Hilton Head, SC ^ | 2009-11-17

The Nov. 12 story about Sen. Lindsey Graham found on Page 4A belonged on the front page in my opinion. ("Charleston County GOP censures U.S. Sen. Graham")

Graham does not represent the policies of the Republican Party. He is a RINO, Republican In Name Only, who should exit the party like Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania.

I have written and called the senator often regarding his opinions and his voting record, but of course received no response. He doesn't seem to care what his constituents think or believe.

Why I voted for this man I'll never know. He doesn't deserve to represent the good, honest people of South Carolina. I do know this -- he will never get my voteagain no matter who runs against him, and there are many who agree with me.

It is time for Republicans in Beaufort County to censure him, unless of course they agree with his views on climate change and bank bailouts and other issues that will further bankrupt our nation. God bless America; she needs it.

That's the same thing I said about George (see you at the bill signing) Bush.

Yep, that’s the problem with RINOS. They believe in the “big tent” theory and try to be a slightly right-of-center version of the Democrat party. That is a losing scenario, and we better have learned it by now.

True but it is not that the average party members might not have learned it: the problem is hat too many folks jettison this realization once they are elected & become politicians.

Dolly, if you were paying attention, Lindsay’s “RINOISM” was very much in evidence prior to his most recent election.

I sent a letter to the local Republican Club here (as soon as I posted the Cap N Trade comments on The Patriot's Flag). I know the people who run the club very well ... and I never got a return comment from them. I suggested a letter of reprimand to Senator Graham. These people KNOW they voted for a RINO and are not responding ... I just don't understand why. I left this club when Graham beat Witherspoon (a real conservative) in the Primary. They know WHY I'm an Independent ... the reason is GRAHAM! I offered to come back into the club, and bring some other Independents with me, if they would do this .... (silence).

He doesn't seem to care what his constituents think or believe.

Never has a better summary of Pandsey's RINO ways been written. He is an arrogant ass who doesn't give a sh!t about his constituents.
